Oh I see, where did my chance to have the Dreadknight go? I've foregone previous Black Box contents, this is the first one that's been of interest to me and now it's not available 8O

I'll have to get a very long stick and start prodding Nige

Isn't Spack a business partner.. doesn't he within certain decencies get to play the "I command ye for the sake of all your sales going through functionally and cleanly, to give me that model"
(BTW I hope Gav gets to do that once in a while too  )

To that end its really not worth us pretending to be able to bid more than the big red button of upset guy who has a choice as to whether to allow the world to carry on spinning.

(I never get free black box stuff, shuffles feet and kicks stone)

Dan, You know all you have to do is contact me and you can have the next one. What about the 2nd codex? and Terminartors?

Yes, Gav is allowed some also, but he's 3rd in the pecking order unfortunately. As he now plays FoW and WFB only, its not an issue. :)

@Talus. Sorry mate, even if you offered double I can not seel it to you before release date, unless I want to loose the account.

I've made the 1st Dknight. There are good and bad in the kit.

The bad is the lack of dynamic poses you can make with the model without really carving it up and using greenstuff extensively. The legs seem to have one pose, they are very ridgid.

The second bad thing, is the guns have a basic housing and then you add bits to turn it into a psycannon, psilencer or heavy incinerator. There are only two basic housings in the kit, so no 3rd weapon option to be able to magnetise and swap out.

Same with the fists, sword and hammer. There is one part of the hand missing so only two options can be made there also.

Good things are, the weapons stay unglued, and without using anything clip on and off. Also the fists, swords have a socket for pushing them into the wrist, but it is a bit slack, so after painting, if still the same, it may need a magnet.

The detail and coolness of the model, will make it popular I think. But I think a competitive list will struggle to field one, if any at all.

Start a tactica..
We played a game on sunday, the blood angels list you've seen (now back with all its proper models BTW folks, thanks for looking), vs grey knights
2 Very blinged librarians
10 termies who split on deepstrike
3x8 grey knight squads(might have been two)
all above had the str5 amo and psycannons where possible
2 of the super demonically possessed riflemen.(str 8 gets around FNP on BA and plague marines 8O )

I had all the advantages 3 unbelievably good rolls, familiar list(which primarily has a psycher for defence rather than offence)..vaguely having read more of the codex than LH.. and he still managed to pull off a draw (albeit him having 4 grey knights left and me still having 700points).

Really quite odd (but good) game.. I think you must have some mech vets, or you must have a bunch of riflemen or you must have multiple stormraven.

Silly rule point Troop termies have force swords, the rules only dictate force weapons require leadership test for instant deathy bit (so all other skills don't require test) so termies (by default) always have a 4++ invulnerable in close combat. They took a lot of hitting, didn't see that coming.
It has always been the prerogative of half-wits and fools to point out the Emperor has no clothes, but the Emperor remains the Emperor, and the half-wit remains a half-wit.-The Sandman (The friendly ones)

You have special rules that require a test.
You have special rules that are always on.
THe special rules about intitiative gains, higher strength, better invulnerable do not require a test.
And I wasn't expecting to run straight into a wall of tzeentch terminators.
