Strangely, after posting in this thread yesterday my wife said "oh, this came for you yesterday". It was a letter saying my WD subscription was ending soon and did I want to renew it. It also showed my subscription number!

It also had details of paying for the subscription by direct debit (which works out at £3 per issue and you pay every 3 months). However, when I phoned GW they said they didn't work with with subscription numbers, that was the magazine distributor. They also couldn't do the direct debit either - I have to phone the distributor directly for that. The don't seem to work weekends so I'll have to wait until Monday. I forgot to ask about the subscription model but I'm sure I could get one if someone needs it.

The GW website gives a phone number to ring for existing subscribers to order the model. I have a feeling it's a one per customer offer though, otherwise they'd have probably made just made it a direct only figure rather than WD sub offer.
