GW Errata and FAQs

Postby timewizard » Wed Nov 17, 2010 1:05 pm

Noticed last night that the Erratas and FAQs on the US GW site are gone.
Is this the same in the UK?
Anyone have any idea what's up with this?

EDIT: This is for the 40K erratas.

Yep they've all gone (WFH ones are still there).

About to get a revamp of the FAQs perhaps?

Or it's just an error :)

Purely conjecture but I reckon they're just going to stick the old ones in the new gothic format (keeping all the errors as is, if not removing chunks to look better)

If I remember correctly the "leaked" storm raven pic was found when someone was trying to access the FAQs. Maybe that server is just that crappy. The page still had the old "font of Wisdom" blather which predates not only the current but previous edition of the website and the game.

If they've gone from both UK and US sites then it's much more likely to be deliberate.

The front page is still there but the "Next" button taking you to the FAQ table is missing. Looks deliberate to me.

I sent an email to customer service asking if the site was down or not.
I probably stand a better chance of seeing a new Necron Codex than getting a reply from them!

Didn't they all get pulled at the same time as the leaked Stormraven pics? From what I've been told it was an FAQ click that found the leaked article hiden in that section.
What, no image sigs!

Just got this email from US Customer Service;

Greetings!

Unfortunately, we are not sure exactly why they were taken off of the website. The Web Team may be updating the FAQ’s but we are unsure at this time. I apologize about the inconvenience.

Thanks!

(p52)
A: Yes.
