Incoming! Legion of the Damned

Today at Games Day Italy we unveiled the all-new metal Legion of The Damned models.

The Legion of The Damned are Spaces Marines in appearance. Their black armour is adorned with chilling images of bone and fire, and an eerie glow suffuses their sable armour and a halo of ghostly fire dances about their feet. Considered by some to be an extension of the Emperor’s superhuman will and by others as the vengeful and immortal spirits of fallen Space Marines, Damned Legionnaires fight with a chill precision few mortal warriors can match.

Out in January, the Legion of The Damned are an Elite Space Marine unit who can always Deep Strike and can even opt to re-roll the deep strike scatter dice. Also, their 3+ saving throw is invulnerable.

Interesting. I was hoping they would be plastic though. I already got a 10 man squad worth of pads and stuff, mainly just missing the commander guy for the unit. I will now have to wait and see on these to see if they are worth it. My concern on the metal figs will they be modeled so everyone's units look the same?

Looks like the figs will be single pose metals, the one shown in the email has the legs and general pose of one of the Sternguard models, albeit with a flamer instead of a bolter.

I've got 20 (2 boxes) of the old LotD, plus two Sgt Centurious, I'll probably pick up a box of these just to add some variety

im not actually impressed with that model.. the WIP's on bols look awesome I really hope the rest do look like that..

Is the Sgt the super rare that everyone hoots about when it shows on eBay?

Yes, it is. I've got one still in blister (paid £5 for it at GD in the late 90s), and one with a black undercoat (£3.50 off eBay, was part of a job lot of junk
