GW price increase from 1st June 2010

Postby Taumaul » Mon May 10, 2010 3:31 pm

Yes guys, GW have just informed me that they are increasing their prices on certain products form 1st June 2010.

All I know at this moment in time is that army books/codex's will be increasing to £17.50 and that their "Best sellers" will also be increasing in price. Thats all I have been told for now but I will keep you posted.

Quick processing of that table in excel shows between 5% - 26% increases with an average of just over 13%

I went down the list ( 8) with my eyes 8) ) and it looked like everything just had £2 added to it, so small items went up more than big items..... (big items went up last summer and spring though right?)
Does that hold any water in real maths? ( i know a few went up by 50p, but as the dude on numbers would say "I spot a lot of people using 4s 7s and from A-E answering C therefore its human and arbitrary  "

£15.00 £17.50
£12.00 £13.50
£35.00 £37.50
etc etc
as I say I just ran down the RRP and future RRP coloumns and got a vibe, which is probably contrary to scientific results/the truth

Higher prices for models, ambivalent or non-existant proofreading for the rules, codexes that fall apart, yikes!
I don't think I'm ready to convert over to FOW yet.

Well at least it looks like they aren't insulting us any longer with a "price adjustment."

As a question to those in the Green and Pleasant Land, are there no gaming stores other than GW stores? Did they completely sow the fields with GW salt?

There are a few gaming stores, but not many. To keep a roof over their heads they can't offer much discount on GW stuff.
