Found on BoLS that GW has a section of White Dwarf article archives here.

I took a quick look and it seems like some of the articles were on their site awhile ago, but if they intend to reprint WD articles, it might be of help to people (like me) who don't subscribe to WD . I know...heresy! But I just haven't had the desire to shell out that much money for WD. If I'm off base, please feel free to enlighten me. (Just be kind please, it's been a trying few days, right ruffian?)

You do need to subscribe to the GW sit to access the archive, but I registered last night and there was nothing to it.

How far back to the articles go?

Do they have the useful stuff; the homebrew, the rule sets, the game addons and the scratch build plans.. or just whatever could fit into pile A) merchandising pile B) bat reps.
Or are they whole PDFs of entire white dwarfs (the abstract appears to say its seperate articles)

They have some old stuff, (cities of deff, scenarios from March 2009) and they seem to be pdfs of the articles, not of the entire magazine. I'm just starting to work through the various lists myself, but the cover 40K, Warhammer and LoTR.
Haven't seen any batreps yet.

Don't blame you. For me, it got to about 20 mins read and that simply isn't worth it.
I signed up anyway, had a quick look.
Didn't see that much tbh, but hopefully they will put more stuff on in the future.
