Thats odd I found an old Epic Knight christmas time when I was in my Attic.
I did think at the time it would be good if they upscaled them.

Found this picture online. Not what i was hoping but still cool

Does look like a modified dreadknight though so use a massive pinch of salt

Wiouldn't that be totally in keeping with GWs fluff around STCs etc? The Dreadknight and the "other" knights are all variants of an STC blah blah.

Also, wouldn't that make casting easier? And conversions? Oooooh. Imagine the opportunities that could present . . . .

That's a conversion of a Dreadknight from 2 years ago: http://www.coolminiornot.com/285293 (the new Google image search is great, just feed it a URL to an image and it will look for that specific image all over the web, took all of 3 seconds to find the source of that pic :D)

Here is the latest word on the rumored "Knight Kit"

Knight Kit
- Wraithknight sized (bulkier)
- Slightly hunched Imperial appearance
- Head in chest
- Arm weapons mounted underslung from shoulders like the Reaver
- Comes with multiple arm weapons (you can mount 2)
a) Multi-barreled "gatling" styled weapon
b) "Grav" styled weapon
c) "Nova-cannon" styled weapon
d) Giant close combat weapon

- Optional quad-missile array
- Void Shield
- Many accessories, flags, Aquilas, Mechanicus cogs, minor defensive weapons etc...
- Priced as Lord of Skulls

We rate this set as medium-low reliability coming from a mix of known and unknown sources.

There has been talk of a plastic Knight somewhere in the GW design schedule for many months now. If you recall it was hyped to be the "big kit" to accompany the Space Marine, then IG release, but current rumor-chatter places it as the key release in March as a standalone kit that can be fielded via dataslate with a variety of armies.

The model is excellent IMO, I'll confess I'm even a little tempted to get one.

The shield rule is a good showcase for GW's ability to unnecessary/unnecessarily complex rules when a simple one will do (though once I saw that I was pretty sure the rumours were credible   )

Bara, don't know if you ever played Adeptus Titanicus but they've basically lifted the rule about the shield straight from the 2nd ed Epic.

RoJ, again this is a throw back to Epic. Knights basically filled the gap between dreadnoughts and Titans in Adeptus Titanicus. They actually look more or less the same as they did in 2nd ed Epic, albeit scaled up!

Then it was a poor decision to copy the rule rather than make it up ;)
