Not to derail, but how does resin/plastic glue together, is it a natural fit with superglue? Or are we back in an era of metal with plastic bits where somebits just fall off yearly?
Still succeeded in avoiding all finecast thus far :D

GW and FW resins have plenty of faults, but I've never had a prob with gluing them to plastic or each other. Yes you need to use super glue, so no it doesn't melt the pieces together like plastics. But generally the pieces will stick together pretty well.

If its a larger model, then I'd recommend pinning. But that good advice regardless of material.

Pieces like FW doors tend to be small than the GW doors they intend to replace, so sometimes fit is a little tricky.
Warped pieces are easily fixed by putting them in warm water, or even using a hair dryer on them for 20 seconds.
Thin spots, pin holes, air bubles, miscasts.. That depends on your ability or willingness to use green stuff / putty.
I personally never had a FW model or Finecrap I couldn't work with.

I'd use a good CA super glue or for larger bits maybe araldite rather than pinning (I guess it depends on what the resin is going to be like to drill in to).

Yeah, Mr6 has mentioned in passing something about his new billion piece necrons not being very pin friendly
(he is pin master, he's been pinning stuff for shop windows since before I had an atari ST)
but I only get these snippets in passing and sometimes he fibs just to lol at what it results in me doing,.

I just use super glue as well, haven't had any problems, but that's with smaller models.
For larger and heavier pieces I will pin them as well.
Found some stuff over here called Gorilla Glue that works great, but I've gotten very good results with Locktite super glue as well.

New FW newsletter says the £60 is incorrect and the price is actually £45. Still £15 a bike though, but better than £20!
