If that is the plastic one it looks to be an exact copy of the FW kit. :)

I thought the big argument on warseer from ages back about a similar pic was that GW never do exact copies they always add less detail all over.. and one or two bits with lots of detail (or something..I tried not to get sucked into rumour threads anymore)

i reckon that there will be alot more plastic kits coming, there have been rumours of a plastic thunderhawk for a long time but in keeping things level the guard have the shadowsword coming and the orks have the stomper so i would think that another race would be next

but could be wrong gw dont always follow that rule

i reckon they used a FW model inplace of the plastic, maybe it wasn't ready... but it would suggest that there's not going to be alot of difference between the final piece.

Seeing as how the first Super Heavy plastic kit (Baneblade) was IG too then alternating races isn't a GW tradition anyway ;)

Please note the text on the Blog. He states under the pic the text states that the pic is a picture of the new 'Plastic' Valkyrie. I don't know why they would print that in the article but have the resin model.

EDIT: In fact. if you look now, he has added a copy of the article showing the text from WD.

from that site:

Edit: -Numerous people want to claim that this is the Forge World model, maybe so and if so then GW is purposely misrepresenting this. (for what reason I'd have no idea) Beneath this photo is a blue box of text with a bunch of info about the new Imperial Guard codex that last line of which is. "To whet your appetites until then, here is exclusive look at the brand new plastic Valkyrie, in the Codex for the 1st time"- why the hell would they say that if this is the FW model? , case closed -this is the new model.

(he also included a pic of the the text box)

looks legit, guys! :D

Add this to my list of next purchases. I 'may' even make a Guard army.

This was already on my list of purchases. At £35/$50 RRP this is a lot cheaper than the FW kit, and will certainly help fill out my Air Cav army :)

I was chatting to some staff at Warhammer world this weekend and there ARE lots of new super heavy and plastic kits coming soon. However much to my disgust it seems the THawk is not on of them as it's "too difficult" to produce in plastic with the current technolgy (if you beleive that... I don't). Apparently the rumour started because someone saw the plastic production manager carrying round his "new" THawk. It was a resin one however but the rumour had already taken hold. He even went on Warseer to debunk it and say it was a FW resin one he had just bought but was ignored.

I still have fingers crossed for one though and hope the counter-rumours are wrong.
