Space Marine Demo

Postby Talus » Thu Aug 25, 2011 2:34 pm

The demo is now available on playstation network, xbox live, and coming soon to steam (says its already on steam but not in the UK it seems)

it comes with two missions, one ends in an all out assault by orks (theres a power axe near the lift in the reliquary, you'll need it) and the second is a jump pack based mission (playing now)

so far all i can say is

FOR THE EMPEROR!

PS3 version is 1300mb, dunno about the others

so... why are you still reading this?

go kill some orks!

Played both missions before work this morning on the PS3. It is on Steam, but not listed in the shop - you need to install it direct using the following URL: steam://install/55410

Also have Kill Team on the PS3 too - the demo was very short so ended up buying the full game, only £6 and damn good fun playing the entire campaign in co-op mode on Sunday :)

only problem with kill team is that the co-op is same screen required, no online :(

i kick ass with the heavy bolter/plasma cannon, not so hot with the librarian though, doesnt seem to have enough DPS to solo, even with the epic blade and health and melee damage perks

also, installing spacemarine pc now, should be a good indicator about which one i pre-order :D

I found it on steam in the library, was able to download the demo with no problem.

It's only in the UK that it's not listed in the library.

typical, the material originated here, and we dont even get listed for it

space marine isnt even on my steam store listing!

going for hard copy anyway, though im still undecided about the platform, pc or ps3...

pc is better controls for me, ive just run through the first mission twice, and didnt die once, with the ps3 i kept dying on the last wave, even with the axe and rage attacks (i managed to finish it, just got lucky with some nades)

oh, also, i'll give you guys the mix to my chapter for online play if you give me yours :P

Xbox to download demo requires gold membership at the moment.. shall wait a while.
However I am now playing DOW2 chaos rising and have deus ex human revolution and gears of war to do before I get round to space marine..so doubt I'm going to end up giving this a look till next year anyway.
Any reviews from you lot other than console controllers are dumb :D

Played the ps3 version. A good laugh. I didn't find the power axe though. Might have to have another go to find it.

Ahhh, I've just found a few of those 48 hours gold membership scratch and sniffs.. suddenly the demo becomes obtainable.
