Space Marines Spearhead

News and rumours

Are they actually selling at that price (or is it just the new site mesing up - wasn't there once a stage where all pre releases were sold at £999.99 to discourage pre sales but to increase marketing hype?)
@belgarion Conscript boris appears to have the same aversion he was talking about driling out peoples heads so that all his models could have helmets etc. Looked so nice I didn't actually notice it with his scouts :o
I think I'm fairly happy with my cavalry bases and scratchbuilds if it really saves me £100

It has always been the prerogative of half-wits and fools to point out the Emperor has no clothes, but the Emperor remains the Emperor, and the half-wit remains a half-wit.-The Sandman (The friendly ones)

wasnt the Daemon one something weird like £132?

i thought they just added up the individual costs of all the models and charged that much for the box (no saving, but you get it early).

with special characters from different chapters all in one box, this set doesnt seem like that good an idea (at least in the Daemon box you could field the Daemons of different gods alongside eachother so it wasnt too much of an issue).

aside from those buying to paint (like Herne with his Hall of Heroes etc), how many people are going to pay full price and get models they dont need just to get things a few weeks early - especially considering they can wait until the release and then get 20-25% off from online retailers (and 10-15% off from indies)? or will they just hope to split the box and cover their costs by selling the unwanted models individually at an inflated price?

:?

Matt, maybe we can do a swap sometime.

You should be able to get the spearhead through an online store as well right?

Yeah, I some times think it's more than prices they use a random number gen for :)

@KMB I feel sorry for the peoples heads that conscriptboris is gonna hollow out ;). scouts with helmets interesting idea ummmmm. Luckly i am a lazy modeller and have plenty of stuff not glued together completely so dont have to resort to drilling, filing or cutting to get helmeted marines

bit off topic hope the powers that be forgive us :)
