Hey all,

Initially a couple of rogue GW managers around the world released Info of the new specialist games wing of GW.

It's now been confirmed as a wing of FW to bring back the classics like Epic, Necro and BFG. In a stylised release like Betrayal at Calth.

Well they might even bring back Man O'War in which case I might have to reverse my decision not to give any more of my hard earned Queens finest sterling to them!

I'd like to believe it, but my wallet and GW parted ways a while back.
What's with the current trend of taking stuff that was good in the 90s and retreading it for the current day, anyway?

First it was Twin peaks, then X-files, now SG coming back?

I don't think we'll see SG in the form they existed before. I think it'll be self-contained sets like BaC, Space Hulk, Dreadfleet, Execution etc

Which is fine because the games aren't left hanging unsupported.

Personally though, if a board game costs £95, it needs to be solid gold gameplay and get the beverages in during play. Stuffing it with a load of plastic wargame models doesn't magically make it a board game worth buying.

And I speak as someone who bought all the gameplay components for Kingdom Death on the KS, so it's not a case of not being prepared to put my hand in my pocket.
