Stormraven and plastic Dreadnought pics

Postby Spack » Thu Dec 30, 2010 9:39 pm

Pics of the Stormraven and the new plastic Dreadought sprues have appeared online: http://forofreakfactory.mforos.com/1035 ... -plastico/

Unfortunately the Stormraven is a nose on shot and so there's still no way to tell if it's short and boxy or more aesthetically pleasing.

In case anyone has trouble seeing those pics I've attached them to this post.

i can see different sarcophacuses on that dread. there seems to be a death company X and some wings (BA/DA) and a book on the other. This with the halberd suggests maybe a GK dred?

The halberd would probably be the Force Weapon for a Librarian Dread, but that could also be a Nemesis weapon for a GK Dread too :)

Having 14 Dreads already I skipped the ugly metal venerable, but I'm very tempted to pick up this new plastic kit, plenty of options and with a little plasticard/bits it should be possible to build extra dreads at a very low additional cost.

That aircraft looks like it has the same body width as a landraider.
@Hunter101.. It does look like a Pyscannon doesn't it :)

I don't think the Storm Raven hull is as wide as a Land Raider. Not only would that require the hand holding it to be huge, but the pilot's seat and the dorsal turret seem to accomodate one man in a space roughly one third the overall width of the hull. I am thinking that the hull is cloaser to the width of a Rhino, and about one and a half times the length.

Don't you have giant hand models in the US?
Look at that hand its the same size as the normal mans legs.

(Hopefully this link works in the US and is of the thing I hope it is, that of Father Ted trying to explain perspective to his rather slow colleague)

The body with the book on it also has a winged blood drop confirming it is not a GK dread, therefore no need for a psycannon, which means it is more than likly a TL Hvy Bolter.
