Ok, so far I have assembled the Raider and the Reavers.

Gernerally I have to say, GW are still doing a great job with the new models. These kits fit together so well and the lack of excess mold lines is really pleasing. What's more, the sprue connections have been placed in most cases where they will be covered by a glue joint. Somthing that I had mentioned to the GW guys one Gamesday some time back.

But the lack of weapon options on the Reavers was something that me me go 'Aw' The 'sgt' doesn't get his CCW options as listed in the codex. Also, there are not enough spare on the Warrior sprue either.

The Warrior sprues also only have one special wepaon per 10 men. Cool, u think, that's how they are in the 'dex, ' take 10 warriors and one can take...' But if u make one with a dark lance and one with splinter cannon and one with shredder and one with...etc. then you don't then have a full squad.

The magnets I love so much aren't going to work on these dainty little arms, so I found that frustrating. I can see extra boxes having to be purchased.

But the worst thing of all about the DE army at the moment is the lack of models. At present, not counting the old models, alot of which have been taken off the GW site now, there are something like 10 units without a model to buy... and 6 out of 10 SChars with nothing for either.

Now I could handle that if there was knowledge of stuff definately coming out. But there's nothing in the dex image wise. All you have is the Archon and Lilith, the Incubi, Warriors, Wyches, Hellions, Raider, Mandrakes, and Reavers. Most of them are double page spreads to pan it out. There'snothing for any of the new units. Are they in the pipeline even? What do we scratchbuild and what do we wait for?

Help, I'm so confused.

Well not for the feint hearted..MR6 uses the 1mm and super small sizes ( I think me you cgra and ljundhammer all use the 2mm) for the barrels of his eldar guns he has an autarch with hot swappable gun barrels..
You just have to up your ninja ness to super uber ninja tier.

u're prolly right mate. will have to purchases some smaller ones... 3x1mm is my smallest atm.

i think there are a few dexes with models missing.. Storm raven.. And nids spring to mind.. I wouldnt expect anything right away.. How long have daemons waited for seekers?

I forgot to mention the new way GW are attaching flyers to bases. The large ones like Raider they just tell u to glue the stem to the hull which I have for the time been, but the smaller ones are an exact fit so the ball on the top of the stem sits perfectly into the hole on the base of the model. This allows yo to pose ur model in any direction u like and change insantly. I like that improvement.

That’s a swizz.... If you peel off the first layer there is probably a vortex template underneath

Mr King when you use this in any games at the club, if you don’t have this exact template your not playing with it. (Directive from the Chairman)

mmm well i went and dug out my old eldar models today to check if I could make a new list.... seems my memory is a bit shakie. I thought the new raider was alot smaller than the new, but it isn't really... maybe in width as there's no paltforms to std ur models on anymore. the bikes are smaller though.

as for the new list, time is against me. if I can't cobble something together tonight it is going to have to be the daemons I think.

Venom: now that looks like a Vypers with 2 Hellions on the back to me... bit of plasti card for the troops to stand on and that should be somewhere near.

looking back over the posts here, I was admiring the ook of the new models and the FW Eldar/DE flyer when I couldn't help bur notice the layer of dust on the wash pots in the background....my, my it has been a while since you have done any painting Nige!!!!
