Yes, as killmaimburn said, to get used to it you must start with little armies, but once you are, you can play standard games as well. You might want to start with only infantry, and then adding vehicles, and so on.
The key thing is preparing data as much as possible before the game (for example, you can write for your units the amount of shooting damage they deal with their main weapon, it speeds up things a lot). Maybe I should add some more advice for that in the pdf file, at the 'Preparing for a diceless
40k game' page (page 11).
In a
40k game the same basic mechanics are repeated over and over (movement, shooting, assault), and then there is a bunch of special rules. So when you are used to those basics, you can play larger games.

Yes,the pdf file still needs a lot of work, and I will definitely add all the tables in the appendix.
