Mighty Empires 40K

Postby Ben » Thu Jul 24, 2008 3:47 am

I have two blisters of the old Mighty Empires Campaign Markers. Here is a list.

Pirate Ship
Large Bridge
"London Bridge" style bridge
Siege Tower
Battering Ram
Trebuchet
Cannon
Wizards (or Elven) Tower
City covered in Skulls
Stone Circle
Mine

Here is a photo.

So the question is, what should I have them be for a Sci Fi setting? City can be a hive and the bridges are obvious but I am not sure about the rest. I was thinking the Stone Circle would be some big summoning stone (with an Arcane Ruin as the centerpiece of the battlefield). The Mine would be a mine but I may try to find a different bonus in ME.

So any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'll look into fixing that, it appears to be a coding issue ... Fingers crossed it's fixed for good now :) It was the wrapping code that ensures any long string has breaks inserted to prevent the site getting too wide, but it was adding breaks into URLs in images as it was only ignoring links; I've fixed the offending code, I have no idea where I got it from originally.

My ideas are as follows:
Pirate ship - Space port
Siege tower - Defence emplacements(no weapons)
Cannon and Trebuchet - Defence lasers or defence outposts(With weapons)
Stone Circle - Ancient artifact site - on acquisition of zone gain 1 free piece of wargear upto x pts.

Pirate Ship (space port) good drop zone for large transports/docks for resupply or reinforcements.

Large Bridge
"London Bridge" style bridge

Siege Tower = (if you have such a thing) a damaged titan, stranded in no mans land.

Battering Ram = entrenched zone, lots of bunkers and obstacles.

Trebuchet = engineering workshops/factory.

Cannon = abandoned artillery train/ammo dump, could confer something like a prelim bombardment if you take it.

Wizards (or Elven) Tower = an area that aids psychers (pow tests) or makes them more dangerous to use, but increases range maybe???

City covered in Skulls = plague zone/radiation hazard.

Stone Circle = daemonic rift.

Mine = command post/fall out shelter.
