Is the Brotherhood Banner worth the points?

The way I read it, you can EITHER use the banner to help 'activate' the nemesis weapons OR use psychic powers for hammerhand, am I right?

Unless I am facing chaos is the banner worth it, what extras do I gain for actvating the weapons against non-demons?

I could be all wronf though!! LOL

You are right.
auto pass the psychic test for force weapons and +1 attack for everyone in the unit sounds a good deal to me. Remember force weapons instant death works against any model with multiple wounds. Sure you can't use hammerhand as well, but if an attached IC uses hammerhand thats conferred to the whole unit. If your IC is a level two psyker then they can use hammerhand and activate their force weapon too.

I have Mordrak, dies he count as an IC if south his ghosts?

no. Mordrak doesn't have the IC rule. if all the ghosts die, he becomes a 1 model unit, although he could generate more ghosts after this.
