DE Venom

Postby KInG » Wed Nov 17, 2010 7:28 pm

This transport is a fast open topped skimmer that will carry 5 models, and comes with a Splinter Cannon: R36"; SX; AP5; Heavy 6, Assault 4, Poisioned (4+) and a TL Splinter Rifle. 55 pts with a 5+ inv save.

For 10pts you can swap the rifle for another Splitner Cannon. As the S/Cannon has no S the vehicle can move 12" and fire both wepaons.

I don't call them Venom transports anymore... I've renamed them; Venom Gunships :) and I take as many as I can

So its a floaty banewolf.
move 12 fire a poisoned (2+)ap3 flamer of doom (19-20" reach) and as its defensive you may still fire a primary- heavy flamer to double up wounds= one overkilled meq unit.(because 2+s pass all their saves and the rest hide in uber armour or have so many they don't care).
How many banewolfs did your guard take?
Barely even lurking..

No model yet. I guess you could build one based on this:

http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer-4 ... ORNET.html

Make it spikey, give it some splinter cannons and make a small platform under the engine for transport.
Ork Kommando on Infiltrating:

Everybody else is like "we'z gotta strip down to be slippery like". Beakies do this, umies do this, even orkses do this, but Eldarz all like " You'z all stupid, dats why youz monkeys. Iz putting on 'eavier armor, iz gonna stomp through the jungle all sneaky like and chainsaw you stealthy like cuz Eldar's da best like dat. And if youz looks at me funny, dakka comes outta my face"

According to this on 'seer, you should be seeing one in the near future;

Usual grain of salt applies.

I've got one I made up for 2nd ed.

OK, technically it was made as the 'jetbike' ride for my Farseer, but it fits the bill, plus I did get to use it briefly for the CJ Harlequins codex back in 3rd ed.
Vyper cockpit. Platform back end. Undermounted weapons (where the catapults/cannon are normally mounted on a Vyper).
That is not dead which can eternal lie

and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die

I have two different Venom model types that I use, I made one from a Vyper with Raider Sails, and I made the others from older Raiders chopped down. I will put pics up in my gallery tonight when I come back from work for everyone that wants to see them, and if anyone likes them and wants to know how I did them, I will gladly share!

Here you go King and Time, and of course anyone else who wishes to look! Also, if anyone wants to know a step by step process for either, I can gladly let you know how! These will also be posted up in my gallery for all to see at their Leisure.
