Age of Strife

Hey guys,

So I'm playing Necrons against one of my mates who plays Blood Angels. He's got Mephiston & The Sanguinor who both have a 2+ save, as well as that Death Company and Lemartes who are all absolutely destroying me and I'm finding it quite difficult defeating them! Mephiston is the biggest pain, 5 wounds with a 2+, am I missing out on something or am I right in assuming that Necrons don't have allot that can wound him outright? Not allot of AP 1/2 weapons kicking around, and using all of my Vehicles attacks agains't him just wouldn't work out.

Can anyone familiar with Necrons offer me some advice?

I know! I believe Warscythes are the best option based on the fact they ignore Armor Saves! Not to mention their +2str and 2D6 AP!

The Rending(AP2) Sniper rule is also one I may end up experimenting with , combined with the Deathmarks 'Hunters From Hyperspace' rule that will come in handy!

GET SOME NECRON HEAVY DESTROYERS WITH STR 9 AP 2 WEPONS OR A COURT OF NECRON LORDS WITH WARSCYTHES

Since that's around around 900+pts on a unit and 2 hqs non of which is scoring, go for the objectives and play the game. Wraiths would be a nice tie up unit if they worry you so much.

Mindshackle scarabs would be good against him. Wraiths with whip coils and a destroyer lord should be able to take care of him.

Don't forget he can't join units so as with anything mass fire power with take him down.
