AI little rules questions & nice cards

A very quick query after a game of AI last night. The Marauder bomber's dorsal weapons have the 'up' firing arc. Does this mean that they can only fire up an altitude, or does this mean that they can fire in the same altitude, up one, but not down one? I was feeling a bit dense & couldn't find the answer anywhere...
I also found some sexy AI cards with cut out bits so you always get the right facing...
