I see you are using the GW roads. I have one strip and need to get another one.

Did you mount them on anything or are you using them as they come?

Re your query Matt!

Actually that is the Cities of Death Battle Mat & not the GW Roads.
I had to get one through a mate on the Yahoo Sisters of Battle Group who works in a Games Store in Canada (not GW Store).

They only brought in one for each GW Store here in Oz & a few for Mail Order & they sold out the day it was released.

I glued it to a strong wood base & made heaps of the CoD buildings from the Kits.

Its a great fun table to play on.
Thats my mate Glen at the end. He's a real tough opponent & we have had a Series of "story" games on it with his Radical Inq Vs my Puritan one trying to capture & me destroy a Heretical Book in an old ruined Chapel.

Nice album imperialsavant (or savant or Barry H. or what the heck should we call you? )
Models and painting look good, like the table too, yours?
Is it 2X6 or 2X8? Nice set of terrain, laid out very nice for a CoD battle.
That you in the background? Or the opponent you crushed into the very foundation of the ruined buildings?
If it helps, I got rid of the newbie title when I stopped being a...newbie
As Tim would say...Hope this helps.

It'll take a little getting used to, but hopefully it'll all make sense. You can post a short link to your album, or any subalbum, by copying the Short URL from the upper right when you're in it, or the Short URL under a photo/album in it's parent album. When you're looking at a photo, you can click the URLs link under it and you'll see HTML and BBCode tags ready to copy and paste that will work with most forums/blogs to allow you to embed images and linked thumbnails in them.

I guess you didn't read the new members welcome post that you were dumped in when you completed registration ;) It contains a link to FAQ: Why is your rank "Newbie" in the forums?

It will remain as Newbie until you go to the Usergroups menu (look up!) and pick a race to join - you'll then receive a rank for that race. Your rank will change as you hit the thresholds set for numbers of posts. Customised ranks are, at present, only available to a small number of members.

:D Thanks for the kind comments timewizard!
Just call me "Baz" thats what all my mates do!

Table is 6' x 4' & thats my mate Glen who I have great difficulty "crushing".
But I have creamed his Orks on a few occasions & have blasted his Radical Inquisitor just as She ( must have Slannishi tendencys!) was making off with the Heretical Book!

Cheers Baz! Nice to be reagarded as a mate of yours!
FYI - if you need any pointers on how to crush Glen and leave him a sobbing, twisted wretch, this is the place to be! Just ask any of our experienced killers, and they will be glad to help out

BTW - welcome to the site!
EDIT-sorry! Already welcomed you (senior moment-need more wine!)

Cool table. I only saw the CoD mat once but it looks like in the picture they just reused the artwork on the roads for the new road strip they are making.

The new roads are a strip of lino in a roll. Once you cut them out to the peices you want, you need to lie them down under some heavy books or similar for a couple of days to flatten them out. Mine are OK (ish) now but I'm considering glueing them to some mdf or something.

8) Nothing like a large bottle of Vintage Amasec :!:

My choice is the M40-737, its also Caiphus Cains choice.

We often share a bottle when I pull him out of the GW Model case.
Jurgen stands guard to make sure we dont get interupted but we make him go way down the hall! :D
Even a good Amasec cant disguise that odour!

Thanks for the welcome & offer of Tactics help.

Just so you know a bit about my Armies I have the following:

Sisters of Battle about 3000 pts
Witchhunters (Inq etc) including Arbite Squad about 800 pts
Black Templars over 4500 pts & adding!
Daemonhunters Inq, Ret & Grey Knights about 3000 pts
Caiphus Cain, Jurgan & the Valhallan 597th plus Armoured Heavy Support about 3000 pts.

My darned pre teen grandsons got me into it about 10 years ago.
They are now definately Teenagers & dont play anymore but old Grand Dads still waging the Long War for the Imperium ( and Loving it!)
P.S. I was a "Child Bride"

My biggest problem is "crushing" those damn "Nids!
No matter what I do they seem to overun me before I can kill enough of them.
Any advice  or bigger templates gratefully received! :D

 Well Anglewing, you wont believe it but I played a 1800 pt Seize Ground Scenario with a Pitched Battle deployment at our Games Club last night against a 'nid Army & finally managed to WIN :!:

Mind you it was very "bloody" as at the end I only had a scoring squad on one objective, My Emperors Champion in C/C with one remaining "stealer (from a squad of 20 I might add!), the L/Raider Crusader (machine of the Match!) a Drop Pod & a Predator with the turret destroyed but otherwise battle ready.

He had NO Gaunts & only 1 'stealer from 2 squads of 30 in total.
I killed all his Gaunts twice due to the Without Number rule but he still had 1 of 2 Carnifexs & a Lictor or two, his Hive Tyrant & I think 1 or 2 Ravenors but thay DONT COUNT!

Mind you this was my first win Vs 'nids in 4 or 5 games with both the BTs & Sisters of Battle Armies!

The Emperor DID Protect :!: YEAH :!:

Black Templars Rule :!:
