UPDATE: Site maintenance has been completed

The site will be unavailable for a short period on Sunday 3rd November due to essential maintenance. The expected downtime should be no more than around 20 minutes somewhere between 1pm and 4pm UK time, should this change updates will be posted as far in advance as possible.

Any significant changes we can expect?

Hopefully there will be no difference to how the site looks or works in any way. If there is, something went horribly wrong!

Just in case anyone is interested in the gritty details, the site is being moved to a new server which gives us a bit more memory and more disk space, and more burstable processing power, so it might be a little quicker. The current server is due to be decommissioned as it's hit 5 years old and the hosting company doesn't like running old kit even though it's been very reliable; if anyone is ever in need of a good VPS provider I can happily recommend them: http://www.bigwetfish.co.uk .

I could probably get you a decent deal if you ever wanted a comparison I work in a Datacentre in Manchester and hosting one of the things we do. Good luck with it!

Site switchover complete, hopefully without any hiccups

The only one I notice so far is that my clock is off 1 hour from yesterday.
