would any one be interested if i opened up a club in whitby ? would any one wanna travel that far ?????

there must certainly be a market for gamers in whitby as there is a independent retailer there, albeit with a modest stock level last time i went there.

your best bet would be to chat with the guy that runs the store (think its a toymaster) and ask him, without giving details of you out to the general public, to ask customers if they are local and if so whether they would be interested in a club. you then check back with him and see if he managed to get an interest level worth pursuing before going too much further.

if he needs an incentive, just remind him that clubs need supplies!

redcar ironbeards still around? im new to whitby and this seems to be the nearest club. ive tried the phone no and email address on games workshop but no luck, if its still around then im a reasonably new wh 40k player who is interested in meeting up for a couple of games a week

I believe they are but if you follow this thread back you will also see the details for the redcar raiders, meet half seven on thursdays at the clarendon pub, lots of 40k players as well as other systems played.

Redcar Ironbeards are still alive and kicking. Next Monday (19th) will be our last meeting of 2011, we will return on 9th Jan 2012.
We meet 7-10 on a Monday at The Coatham Memorial Hall, we too are branching out into other systems.
