Dust Warfare, new tabletop wargaming

Postby RotweillerofJustice » Sun Apr 15, 2012 3:52 pm

Hi guys,

As some of you may have seen from some of my other posts I have been collecting and had a few games of Dust Tactics.
It is a board game based on an alternate WWII scenario. I have enjoyed it and it plays fairly quickly. Ive been able to get two or three different games in of an evening.

Anyways. I was looking at the Fantasy Flight Games website and saw that they are rolling out a tabletop wargaming version based on the tactics game called Dust Warfare. It uses the same miniatures as the tactics game so no need to collect anything new if you already have that game. If they keep it similar to the mechanics of the board game it could be interesting. Attached is the link to the atricle on their website. Let me know what you think and Gav, do you think this will be something GF will be interested in stocking????

According to their website the core rulebook is due "1st Quarter 2012", so should have already been out (and has a date of 10th April 2012). Looks like it's overdue ...

Dan, Dust Warfare is still showing as not yet released....

As its written by Andy Chambers, could it be called Warhammer 1.9k though?

I guess you must have seen my reply that I deleted and replaced with the "Looks like it's overdue" reply above ... :)

I'd heard that Alessio had been called in to sort the game out after the mess Andy Chambers had left it in. Perhaps that's why it is delayed?

So a favourable review all be it by a game fanatic.
I have to admit that I will be interested to get my hands on it
I've enjoyed painting the minis and want to expand on playing them. Only time will tell.
