Fair price for this army?

Postby berger15 » Mon Dec 21, 2015 9:04 pm

Okay, I'm thinking of selling my Dark Angels - all 6000pts or so. What would people here expect to get for the following army:

10 tactical
10 tactical
10 tactical
10 tactical
5 Devastators
10 Assault
10 Scouts (5 sniper, 5 shotguns/ bolt pistols)
5 man Command Squad (including banner, apothecary and champion)
45 Terminators
9 Ravenwing
1 attack bike
3 Land speeders
1 Drop-pod
1 Razorback
1 Predator
3 Dreadnoughts
15 Veterans (some metal)
1 Azrael and helm bearer / watcher in the dark
3 Chaplains (1 in terminator armour)
3 Librarians (1 in terminator armour)
4 Company Masters
1 Belial
1 Sammael on Jet Bike
1 Sgt Naaman
1 Asmodai
1 Rhino

The painted minis are tabletop standard only (although a few characters are not too bad) and the following are built and primed at least:

3 bikes
Sammael (on jetbike)
20 Terminators (including 5 Knights of Caliban)
10 Tactical (DarkV)
Company Master (DV)
Librarian (DV)
Seriphicus (DV)
Mortis Contemptor Dread with twin Kheres assault cannons

I know it's a lot to ask - but I have no idea if I should hope to get £200 or £800! I know the retail for this lot is at least £1200, but that's not always a great guide to resale value of painted minis.

I'll get pics up as soon as I can to help if need be.

Thanks :-)

I think it would be easier to break it down into squads and sell off individually.

Yeah - that just seems like a lot of aggravation though. Beside which, selling as an army I would just be able to dump the two entire cases on the buyer and walk away - no wrapping, packing and posting.

I'd at least split it up in to Raven wing, Death wing, and Green wing.
What, no image sigs!

It's a thought - I'm just thinking of shipping all those things individually. As they all fit in two cases, I thought it would be easier to collect / deliver.

General rule of thumb for selling armies that are painted (regardless of quality unless seriously shit hot) is 25-35% retail value. Anything over that is a bonus - you would find more luck selling for free on a Facebook group though.
