Fall of Cybertron Woes

Postby Talus » Sun Sep 16, 2012 6:22 pm

I've been playing this game since night of release a couple weeks ago

i got straight into multiplayer, simply because with war for cybertron (the first one) i left it too late and by the time i reached level 1 i had a death count of nearly 400 because of people hacking the game!

so, anyway, i hit level 100 (25 across all 4 classes) a few days ago

then went into Prime mode (rank reset to 0, unlocked a couple new heads) and started to go through it again

this weekend is a double experience thing, ive just hit 25 in 3 classes and 20 in the fourth

ive been on fire (literally a few times, the infiltrator shotgun has an upgrade to ignite you when shot :P) been running point scores upwards of 50, which is alot higher than my norm (the double exp doesnt apply to point score, just exp gained)

in fact about 20 matches in a row, i was just shy of 60 points, first in the game every game with kill counts double that of the second guy

so shocker!

i've been accused of hacking!

got a nice message saying yada yada hacking scum yada yada

i have NEVER hacked a game in my life, so im really quite insulted about this!

i have a good day in this game and i get the biggest insult you can slap on a gamer!

anyone else had something like this happen? i mean, a genuine gamer that never hacks having a good day, then getting slammed like that?

I was accused of been a hacker in Space Marine on PS3 a few weeks back, lol. Also had a few other obscenities messages my way on occation.
Like you, I never have and never will use a hack or cheat on a multiplayer game.
But I take it as a compliment if I'm playing well enough to p*** someone off.

I do try to play with honour and fairness. For example, when playing seize ground, if my team has pinned the opposing team in its home base, I pull back to let them out while most players just base rape.

i gave up on space marine a while back, havent played it since april, everyone i ran into was an idiot, there was no team work at all, just go out and get yourself dead in seconds

totally agree with you on the letting them out, theres no point playing if you arent going to be a good sport about things

its like shooting fish in a barrel i suppose, people want the easy kills instead of being tactical and actually working for it

i just came out of a fall of cybertron match, made level 25 in the fourth class, so im now a Prime 100 :) got some spiffy little crowns for my effort too! though now i think of it... hardly worth it :P

there was a hacker in that match, called himself ACTIVISION (all caps too!) was using spam fire, for each shot instead of 1 bolt or 1 set of rockets, he fired about 5

the scores go like this (got a screenshot to show it too just for giggles)

me: 48 points, 23 kills, 11 assists, 10 deaths
hacker: 24 points, 18 kills, 9 assists, 18 deaths

there is a distinct difference between hacking and being good

im good, he's a hacker thats bad :P

you'd think if they were going to go to the effort of risking a ban and their account security by downloading this software to cheat at a game, they'd at least know how to play the game! he was like a sharkticon out of water, didnt have a bloody clue what he was doing XD

makes you wonder about some people...

bane has a point but at the same time those who accuse you of being a hacker dont want to admit they suck donkey balls plus this reminds of a halo 2 memory (yes i know dont start) it was CTF on a beach map (forgot the name but it had the forerunner base as defender spawn zone) the opposition had a guy who not only lagged my team but also had flying warthogs (jeep for those not in the know) and my team STILL won 2-1 because once we knew what they were doing we just dived on their spawn zone and raped them so many times if it was real they would have to have reconstructive surgery...so just in case you miss my point..accused of being hackers means they suck....and not all hackers are winners
