iPad codex editions

Postby Red Devil » Wed Oct 23, 2013 8:55 am

Hi guys,

Has anyone out there bought an iPad version of a GW codex?

I am asking because I want to know how big they are, in MBs? I have been thinking of getting an iPad for a while and now iPad Air has been announced, I am wondering whether to get 16GB or pay an extra £80 to get 32GB...

They are pretty huge, but if its just for that 16g will cover it (the question is how much other crap will you want to stick on it over the months it works/is fashionable :P )... link to B+C where a guy gives filesizes.

They're about 1 gig each. I've got the DA and HE ones and will get the new SM one when I'm back in the UK. I've got a 32 gig iPad so it's not really a problem. The good thing about them is they automatically get updated with the latest faqs and if you need the space you can delete it and redo load it at a later date.

Thanks for the help guys!

Sorry KMB, but I am an Apple Addict - there, I've admitted it!

My iPhone is 16GB with not a lot of music and is pretty much full, so maybe 32GB is the way to go. Lucky Apple (and Tesco - will be using my discount!).

Thanks

Having just sold my iPad 32G I'm disappointed - it seemed like a great idea at the time getting the iPad versions.

Now I'm stuck with just a PDF version I might have Screen-Shotted and converted. I can't share it (That'd be illegal) but as I paid for the iPad chaos ones I didn't want to just lose them and fork out another £60 on books.

The books are a better investment...

Thanks for the advice!

I will always have the books proper - looks good on the shelf!

I have some PDFs, which will also work on iPad through various apps (inc Kindle).

It's just now the books are hardback, it's more to lug around (very smart by GW-hardback increases price, but will also make some buy digital for portability). As I have apple devices already, an iPad seems best for me.

If I still had an iPad i'd get them, but only when it goes did I realise the folly :)

Still, wasn't hard to get the CSM and BL Books PDF'd from my iPad
