Nice!

Was it last year when they advertised the "Multi colour spray gun"?

Well I actually had a customer call in the shop asking if we could get him one, he was 100% genuine as well.

SPeaking of news from GW, and this broke Wednesday, not today:

GW is apparently suspending all metal casting for 3 months due to supply issues.

Smart money is that metal figs from them will become mail order only, so they can cast on demand rather than having expensive metal sat in shops (and possibly not selling(Nagash))!

If that's true then GW stores are going down the drain if they don't provide plastic HQ options for every army.

"Time for an HQ now I'm playing more than 500pts, I want Tigirius for my smurfs"
"Sorry, you have to order that online ..."
"A normal librarian figure then"
"Uh, order online"
"Cassius..."
"Online"
"Ok, a normal chaplain then"
"Online"
"Calgar.."
"Online"
"Do you actually sell anything in this shop?!?!"

Ultimately GW drives sales online where the kids find that they can get everything cheaper than a GW store, and never enter the store again as everything they ever wanted gets delivered right to their door. Saves on bus fare too, and they don't have to keep looking around furtively before entering a shop in case their class mates see them.

Funny, I spoke to a rep from GW regarding this issue on Wednesday. And he informed that GW are currently reviewing their stock situation and that he will know more in a week or so's time.

Even worse for GW, in a shop the kid has pester power to get it there and then, online at home, parent (with card) can shop around for the plastics.

How this would hurt independants I am not sure, but I doubt it would be good.

Thing is, the how to roll dice book is just the sort of crap they might actually try selling!
Besides there really are people who can't roll dice properly - dropping them from great height scattering them across the table, off the table and knocking models over, plus not rolling the scatter die as close to the point of deviation as possible but on the other side of the table were it's useless etc

Then they would need to dedicate at least one chapter to "How not to roll dice"!

The future of dice retail is in dice denial teqniques ...

Like, "Did you just put my dice down your pants?"
"Yes, do you want them back?"

Kerching, new sale, unless they do want their dice back, along with various "extras."

"Where did that come from, you have black hair?"
Or.
"I don't even know what that is!"

etc etc.

"Errrrrmmm, why are your dice warm?"

I preordered a copy so have it already. There are some glaring loopholes though. I'm waiting for the dice rolling FAQ now. In the meantime we'll just have to roll off for it.

Oh..hang on..
