Hi,

I know there are a few Malifaux players amongst us here...

I was wondering if anyone has a link to the 2.0 Beta rules for malifaux.

I understand these came out on May 31st (or were supposed to), but cannot see anything on Wyrd's Malifaux website. However, they must be out somewhere, because I have seen You Tube posts summarising key changes.

Any help would be appreciated!

Malifaux 2.0 thread

Try there bud. A friend posted it on another forum. But I am sticking with 1.5 until 2.0 becomes the norm in my local game club.

I'm going to hold off readin it untill someone follows up with..

is it 1.5bii (is it like the current (free) rulebook having its structure mashed by well attentioned layering of faqs into phrases, missing redundancy systems etc etc..+a year more dumped on top ,if I was feeling ranty I'd say unreadable)

or is it 2.0000001 alpha, in that its newly structured (clean file allocation table ;) )with some balance problems to be eeked out over the summer?
The latter I'd give a go :D

It's a brand new system designed from the ground up.

Well, that's what they say. I assume it's something like the transition from 2nd ed to 3rd ed 40k. i.e. pretty radical rules wise, but still pretty similar in feel.

In terms of newness, there are some significant changes. I got this from You Tube.

Pre-measuring in
Soul stones different
Costings changes, plus you can add upgrades (basically, skills removed, but you can purchase them back
Other stuff re: deck, card flips, etc

Will give me something to read on plane to HK!

A skirmish meet constituting of 2 teams of 3 models/players or less.
I reckon we should just have a lazy sunday painting session, which just happens to have 8-9 poor buggers travele the length of the country to join me ..be social and up frontly not get many games in. ;)
Haven't had a bash yet, project on hold as battle of westeros is just in and I'll be posting pics and stuff as i get it out the box etc later.

That would be cool. I came to the march 2011 meet with Gordy. But didnt play because I was out of practice with 40k. But I'd happily play Malifaux. Providing its at a time I can make it.
