Is that the space hulk librarian? If so I think that's the first time I've seen someone actually use a new SH model for their 40K army :)

Chris, on monday night you told me how you went about painting these but I've forgot.

Could you give a stage by stage description?

I'm especially interested in how you got the rich colour on the Red.

Yeah no worries, it was a simple and quick process

The armour was undercoated black, then cover in necron abyss and wash with badab black, sharp highlight with ultramarines blue
the red for the fists and tabards was mecharite red then washed with badab black, once dry highlight with mecharite again then paint red gore over the mecharite you have just done to give it a deep red look.
the faces where Tallarn flesh with a ogryn flesh wash (didn't do the eyes the hand isn't steady enough)
then obviously the metal was done with bolt gun metal and a wash of badab black

If you haven't already guessed i'm loving badab black at the moment :)
the red is brought out more with the varnish, i used halfords clear laquer as it brings the red up beautiful and rich

fairly easy, did a squad in about 3hrs start to finish, but had to hand paint the crimson fist icons on every shoulder guard, that took a while.

hope this helps, are you thinking of doing Crimson fists Daboss? or is it for your world eaters force?

Yeah, the colonel has done the same thing, the model is massive and looks cool on the table, it stands out quite nice when he is the only terminator armoured model on the board.

the blood angels termies from SH are going to stay that, and form part of my long term project of the sanguinary guard army with a terminator squad or 2 attached and possibly a storm raven if gw ever release one but they are a long time in the making with everything else to be done, Orks, HE, scratchbuild a thunderhawk, WoTR stuff
