Finally after a hiatus of almost 20 years from Warhammer 40K, I have returned to the gaming world and have been directed to your lovely club by the great guys at Games Workshop High Wycombe.

Currently re-learning the 5th Edition rules and have a 2000pt+ Marine entourage, a 1750 pt Ork Mob and an almost 1750ish Tau Sept that I want to get whupped over.

Having voraciously read the new Codex's and even played a few games using the new rules I am keen to play against other players (who are not cajoled members of my family).

I was wondering what are the ground rules for the club?

Do I turn up with my armies and print outs of rosters for 1500Pts, or is it 1750pts or 2000pts the "standard" for having a battle?

From what I read on the forum you have a campaign on alternate weeks at the mo. Is it okay to turn up and watch, and more importantly ask "stupid" questions?

Do I need to bring along my Realm of Battle Board and terrain?

Any other top tips for club newbie like me?

Hi Ian,

Yep - feel free to come over to the club on a Monday night 6:45pm to 10pm.
We are currently playing a WH40K campaign each 2 weeks, so this coming Monday is a campaign week, so next week some people will be free for a game, worth coming along to arrange a game (sometimes some players will forget to book a game - so can sometimes do a pick up game). £3 if you play a game.
We have plenty of boards and scenery, so just need to bring your army, we play 1500 - 2000pts depends on your opponent.

Feel free to come round tomorrow and see us play, I'll be playing Dark Angels vs Orks.
