Tempus Fugitives - Hammer of the Gods

Postby DaBoss » Fri Oct 21, 2011 7:12 am

Big news for the next Age of the Emperor
It looks like Eldar are not in the list of Factions as it is now just a Dark Eldar Faction.

Along with:
The Imperium of Man
The Mechanicum
The Ork Exilez
The Laer
The Necrons

So wonder who is still up for going to "Hammer of the Gods"?

I just had a look and i am confused as in the forums they are talking about eldar? If they aren't allowed thats a bit crap as the dark eldar and craftworld are essentially the same???

Have posted the question as the pack says no, but you can still purchase an Eldar ticket.....

Stu is in the process of updating it. He plans to enhance it to the standard of the Marine Pack, adding a number of additional units possible with Legendary Point upgrades and the inclusion of the special characters from Mechanicum.

Should be a very good pack when done, not sure it will leave the guys enough time to build their armies...by March

So had a look through my Eldar collection to see what I have available (Painted) and what needs finishing.
Seeing how many points I could put on the table- list comes to:

Painted
HQ
118pts Autarch (Harlequin Solitaire)
145pts Farseer

Elite
200pts FireDragons (10) incl Exarch
192pts Howling Banshees (10) incl Exarch
202pts Striking Scorpians (10) incl Exarch
280pts Harlequin Troupe (10) incl Leader, Shadowseer, Death Jester
280pts Harlequin Troupe (10) incl Leader, Shadowseer, Death Jester
252pts Harlequin Troupe (10) incl Leader, Shadowseer, Death Jester

Troops
150pts Guardians (11) incl Warlock, Bright Lance Platform
150pts Guardians (11) incl Warlock, Bright Lance Platform
105pts Guardians (11) incl Starcannon Lance Platform
105pts Guardians (11) incl Starcannon Lance Platform
95pts Rangers (5)
95pts Rangers (5)
97pts Dire Avengers (5) incl Exarch

Fast
242pts Swooping Hawks (10) incl Exarch
105pts Vyper (1) Starcannon, Holo field
105pts Vyper (1) Starcannon, Holo field

Heavy
100pts Wraithlord (Harlequin version with 2 Wraithswords)
120pts Wraithlord with Starcannon
130pts Wraithlord with Bright Lance

Total: 3268pts

Unpainted
HQ
190pts Jain Zar
215pts Karandras

Troops
80pts 2 x Warlocks for Guardian Squads
145pts Wave Serpent with Twin Bright Lance (ride for FireDragons)
110pts Wave Serpent with Twin Shuriken Cannon (ride for Banshees)

Heavy
900pts Armorcast Revenant Titan

Total: 1640pts
Grans Total of: 4908pts

So with this lot can easily put together 2 x 2000pt forces for me and Ian to use at 'Hammer of the Gods'

Question is what do I keep in / drop out - how much have I got to get painted?
In less than 3 months....

Firstly, Bloody Hell Phil!!!! i don't think you have enough models, Christ!!!

I would try and fit atleast 1 of the phoenix lords in to give pretty much any squad a bigger punch, but that depends on how you want to play the revenant,(if at all) if you want him in reserve, take the autarch that +1 really helps but other than that i think take pretty much what you want to make a decent 1200/2000pts for either you or Ian. I know you want to take as many Harlequins as possible maybe stick with that them and try and fit as many as you can in 1 list and every thing else goes in the other?

Me personally would take Karandras coz he is filth. 7x St 8/5 attacks in the first turn! no thanks!! and take at least 5 fire dragons a bit more anti primarch doesn't hurt :)

Also the revenant is only 800pts

Actually I was being a bit modest on my collection - I've got another 2500pts of Eldar, 3 more full squads of Harlequins and the Phantom Titan
But most of the other Eldar troops are partly painted up Iyanden colours than my main force of Biel-Tan, or still metal...

Note: as usual for me, the majority of the collection are classic models dating back 20 years.

Yep Revenant is 800pts that's good as I think that works with my Harlequin/Autarch build.

Think that Ian's force will be Biel-Tan themed with lots of Aspect Warriors, so I think Karandras will have to go in.

Getting there then. My IG are up to around 15000pts - at the next AoS event we'll have to arrange an Apoc game, I don't often get to put all 45 tanks and 11 super heavies down ;) You've got slight more Eldar than me though, most of mine are RT era (Harlies, Wraithlords - or Dreadnoughts as they were then - and Eldar pirates) and 2nd ed (aspect warriors, War Walkers, and most of the rest), along with a Vampire Raider and a couple of Phoenix bombers, and the Phantom that I'm trying to avoid selling ...

Well if you need more Eldar - I always have a few models up for spares...

Got about 5k that is painted - plus maybe another 1k unpainted

Spack - if you only have 45 tanks in 15k then you are slacking - I normally manage 15+ just playing 3k :D

Forgot to mention I have a FW Revenant too ...

Oh I can squeeze lots of tanks into lists - I think I managed 35 or so (3 tank companies, artillery battery, and a couple of extras) and a Stormblade in my last Apoc game which was around 6k.

Also that 15k includes a small air force - 5 Valkyries/Vendettas, 2 Vultures, Thunderbolt and Lightning (very very frightening, aaaaa, mamma mia ...), and my Kreig army (around 200 infantry, 3 centaurs, plus heavy mortars and quad launchers), as well as a Cadian force that is made up mostly of Kasrkin, female troopers (Phoenix Wargamers casts), and all vets have FW respirator and Elysian bullpup lasguns.
