by Baragash on Thu Sep 01, 2011 8:38 am
The gf asked me to paint a model for her, and as this was undercoated pre-5th Ed (   ) and no longer needed for it's original purpose :D

Unfortunately the light isn't very good, but I need to prove it was finished tonight, so it'll have to do for now.

Also finished one of my favourite FW models ...

Grey Knights Dreadknight Conversion WIP

by Spack on Fri Apr 15, 2011 7:43 pm
While I like the concept of the Dreadknight, and at first I didn't mind the terminator harnessed on the front, I've slowly realised that I don't like the terminator or the exposed exo-skeleton pistons on the arms. I also wanted to adjust the position of the legs so that it doesn't look quite so static. Today I found myself with a bit of spare time and decided to have a crack at it.

The legs were built pretty much as stock, although the front armour above the toe was left off (this will be used on the thighs to help fill in the gaps left by the missing terminator legs). The back hoses at the top which connect to the hip piece were clipped off as they would need adjusting when the legs were posed, and the rear toe was trimmed down a little to allow the front ankle to rotate far enough to move the front leg forward. Board Games - Mantic Dwarf King's Hold

by Baragash on Sat Apr 09, 2011 1:13 am
So assembling Dwarf King's Hold is part of my Q2 Hobby Challenge

Managed to get the Dwarfs (5 warriors, 2 shieldbreakers, mastiff* and dead dwarf objective) done tonight, as well as basing the two Bloodletters for the challenge.
*Who seems to be eating table in the pic

The models are nicer nicer than the old GW 1-piece Dwarfs, but a few years behind the detail of the current GW range. However, I do quite like the models, plus the relative price means I definitely feel I get what I pay for.

Warhammer Fantasy: High Elves

by Baragash on Thu Apr 07, 2011 8:42 pm
So back here started the 2011 1st Quarter Hobby Challenge. Unfortunately, as Stormwing needed a lot of work, including use of two-part epoxy and green stuffing, I didn't quite finish him, so I failed the challenge :(

Got the rest done: 2x 10 Swordmasters, 2x10 Sea Guard, 2x5 Reavers, Prince Althran on foot and on Griffon, Caladris, and 10 Horrors and the Changeling.

My Q2 challenge is currently being decided here
