by Cain Tiberius on Wed Sep 21, 2011 5:30 pm
Howdy guys, building/painting has been fairly show this past month. Lot of real world stuff been taking up my time.

But I finially got my Super Heavy Fellblade tank finished. Well.... I still have to varnish it, but the weather is not co-operating at the moment. But other than that it is done.

The tracks I haven't painted quite the same as previous models, but that is because I ran out of some...

Project Thunderhawk 29th December 2012

by Cain Tiberius on Sat Dec 29, 2012 4:38 pm
Hi folks. I know I said I wouldn't be adding any more till the new year, yet here I am once again..

I've started a scratch built Thunderhawk. Something I've been planning for some time.. well its finally begun. Please bare in mind this is just the beginning. Rough edges will be fixed in due process, aswell as building up layers of detail.

Ok so this will be predominantly made of card, with polystyrene core. There will be a few plastic pieces like the engines and weapons. I am getting measurements from Eli Patoroch's PDF plans and various other pictures. The main difference though is I'm not doing any interior detail. Instead making it a solid polystyrene and...

Finished MidWar Mixed Tankovy Batalon

by DaBoss on Fri Sep 16, 2011 1:30 pm
Forgot to take my camera to Newbury Colours
So finally got round to taking some photo's of the painted army. People were surprised at how good the Zvezda models looked on table.
Really worked well when just taking the one manufacturer and not mixing with Battlefront which seem to be a good 1mm bigger in all dimensions.

I started by under coating with Chaos Black. then I dry brushed the lifted area with Shadow gray, followed by Fortress Gray. I then did a very light wash with Badab Black (which I didn't on the original) because...

Helghast 7th Army (IG)

by Jay on Tue Jun 07, 2011 4:31 pm
I've been building my IG steadily over the course of 4 years (blimey!) and for the most part it's been neglected, unpainted and a mess of unfinished models. No more! I've always wanted to do a sci-fi inspired army (my initial forays was to mimic the Starship Troopers of the TV show or the Halo marines) This lead to half my army being painted then being stripped after falling out with these scheme. Thus my search to create the perfect Helghast Army started in Summer 09. To that end I have stripped, dissembled nearly all my models, I bought pig iron Kolony heads, a bunch of Elysian stuff and some Helghan inspired models from war factory (I've also ordered some nice custom conversion bits from max minis). After several tests schemes I've settled on what I want, got me plenty of bits for modeling and now I've committed myself to painting 2000pts worth of units (minus vehicles) by September!

So stay tuned as I update with pictures
