Panzerzug is back on track ...

by Spack on Tue Aug 07, 2012 7:12 am
With a chassis for the train on it's way from eBay, the Panzerzug project will be moving again later this week. I've just noticed that I didn't post a pic of the Tiger card tank, it's still not complete but here's one with the Jagdpanther and a 1/72 Spitfire for scale.

Angron Model for Horus Heresy

by DaBoss on Wed Sep 28, 2011 3:29 pm
Finally found a model that I liked the look of and was the right size.

Scibor Miniatures - 28mm Chaos Master
www.sciborminiatures.com/pow.php?absol=1&co=i/2011/big/chaos_master_01.jpg

He actual stands more like twice the height of a Space Marine.
Perfect as a Pre-Daemon Angron just after Istvaan Massacre when he is starting to devote himself and the Worldeaters to Khorne.

Have added some wire to represent the psycho-surgery and put a number of Khorne brass symbols from forgeworld to replace some of the chaos icons; also changed the Mace end for an Axe (more khorne like).

Now to spray him up...more to come

Panzerzug "Panzerjagerwagen" WIP

by Spack on Sun Jun 24, 2012 7:26 pm
Started work on the 1st variant of the Panzerjagerwagen, a flat railcar with Pz IV turret mounted on a raised section. This railcar sits at the very end of the train, using it's plough to remove barricades from the railway and it's turret to fight off attacks. The rear of the chassis is heavily slanted so that the ramp from the Pz 38t well wagon fits underneath it - when the tank needs to be deployed the Panzerjagerwagon is detached and rolled forward, leaving a gap for the Pz 38t to drive down the ramp and out on patrol.

And a shot of the BP44 half train with all the railcars in position, including the Panzertriebwagen 51 between the artillery/flak railcar and the well wagon carrying the Pz 38t.

And finally a shot of the entire BP44 train (note that there's only one Panzertriebwagen 51 in the rear...

Got new building for my FoW collection

by DaBoss on Fri Sep 16, 2011 1:21 pm
While at Newbury Colours picked up another building for my FoW.
There is a guy in America that produces large pieces of resin scenery for 15mm scale and has a range for Stalingrad.
The great thing with them is that they are over 300mm long by 150mm deep (whereas my other buildings are never more than 100 by 50)

I've already got a Tractor Factory one which I loved painting up.

This time I picked up a Bombed Monestry (like Cassino)

E Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th PIR, 101st Airborne. 20th May 13

by Cain Tiberius on Mon May 20, 2013 10:58 pm
Hey folks.

I'll start by saying, I'm not hugely into historical modelling. I prefer Sci-Fi and at a push, Fantacy. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy watching war movies / series and documentaries. And I have built model aircraft both WW2 and more recent over the years. But as far as table top is concerned, it never interested me.

However... After having a couple demo games that I really enjoyed, and seeing the level of interest that Bolt Action is gaining at a local gaming store... I decided to get a bit of a small force. My favourite WW2 show has always been Band of Brothers. I don't know why, but it just clicks with me. So my first set has to be the Screaming Eagles.

The set is of 21 men and includes:
An Officer, Platoon Sergeant, Radio Operator and a Medic.
10 Parratroopers including 2 Sergeants. 1 with Thompson, the other with M1 Carbine. The othe 8 have M1 Garands.
2 man .30 Cal LMG team. 2 man Bazooka team. And a 60mm Mortar with 3 crew.

On to pictures. To be noted before anyone...
