MK1 Rhino Chasis Conversion Tutorial 9th July

by Cain Tiberius on Sun Jul 10, 2011 12:46 am
Hey folks.

A couple months ago I posted pics of my MK1 Rhino/Razorback conversion, and had calls to show how I made it. Well I suck at WiP or tutorials. But I am working on another and have taken alot more pics.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

First of all I have to say the way I made the Grills is different from the first time. But I was able to get them made in 1/4 of the time.

I noticed that the interior of the rear hatch to the Rhino kit has a nice Grill patern. So I used Greenstuff to make 4 positive molds of the patern. Its inportnant to try an keep the green stuff about 1mm thick. (Thicker will mean more work on the next stage as I found out)

Then I cut 4 pieces of plasticard to the shape of the grills including the surounding colars. (I first did it with paper till I got the desired size.) Then I did the same with the Green Stuff moldings...

Panzerzug railcar "Kannonen und Flakwagen" WIP

by Spack on Tue Jun 12, 2012 12:23 am
Decided to start on the Artillery and Flakcannon (Kannonen und Flakwagen) railcar for the Panzerzug train in Sketchup. So far the basic hull is pretty much complete, as well as the shell of the turret. Still to do are the flakcannon on the raised area, doors, hatches, and armoured connector to the Kommandowagen.

Malifaux - Molly Squidpiddge Crew

by DaBoss on Sun Jan 15, 2012 10:26 am
I've got a thing about painting female models in Malifaux, they are my favourite sculpts.

So when looking for my next crew i was looking through the Resurrectionists (as no-one in our club was doing them) and was not happy with the Masters available, then I read the rules for Henchmen and saw Molly Squidpiddge and knew that was my next purchase.
I also picked up some scenic bases at the same time - really like them plus the add weight to the models when placed on the tabletop.

It's going to be interesting painting faded and dirty clothes but still trying to capture the female beauty...

So we have:
Molly Squidpiddge as Master (Henchman)
3 x Rotten Belle's 12ss
1 x Rogue Necromancy 10ss
Total 22ss

So running a 25ss Scrap - planning on adding a Necrotic Machine and would like more Belle's but need something different than the current ones, anyone got some ideas from other manufacturers???

Malifaux - Avatars

by DaBoss on Sun Jan 15, 2012 10:37 am
I haven't got Twisting Fates book yet (was not going to bother), but on reading about the Avatars for each of the different Factions and seeing what the Pandora & Rasputina look like I had a bit of a compulsive purchase (nearly as bad as I have with Games Workshop)....

So I got both and have put them together - Pandora was a bit of effort as it came in 2 metal pieces and 5 resin which did not fit perfectly without a lot of shaping and cutting - but am now really happy with it.

Pandora.JPG

I think Rasputina Avatar of Famine will be quite an easy one to paint, very much like what I did for the Ice Golem then flesh up Rasputina body.

Rasputina.JPG

Pandora will be a bit more effort but the contrast between the Tentacles and the Serpent trails will be interesting.
Love the Teenage Candy - will have to think how her clothes will look compared to her...
