Events: Salute 2011

by Baragash on Wed Apr 06, 2011 5:21 pm
So I'll be off to Salute 2011 on Saturday 16th April. Going to be catching up with Mantic, Forgeworld and KR and a few other stands whilst I'm there.

And whilst I'm there I'll be picking up the following that I just ordered for collection:

3 of these...

Grey Knights Dreadknight Conversion WIP

by Spack on Fri Apr 15, 2011 7:43 pm
While I like the concept of the Dreadknight, and at first I didn't mind the terminator harnessed on the front, I've slowly realised that I don't like the terminator or the exposed exo-skeleton pistons on the arms. I also wanted to adjust the position of the legs so that it doesn't look quite so static. Today I found myself with a bit of spare time and decided to have a crack at it.

The legs were built pretty much as stock, although the front armour above the toe was left off (this will be used on the thighs to help fill in the gaps left by the missing terminator legs). The back hoses at the top which connect to the hip piece were clipped off as they would need adjusting when the legs were posed, and the rear toe was trimmed down a little to allow the front ankle to rotate far enough to move the front leg forward. Next the blocks at the top of the legs were snipped off and glued into the hip piece, and then the tops of the legs glued to them, and glue added to the ankles. The legs were...

Predator P1 Bio 1/4 scale 3D modelling continued

by Spack on Thu Mar 26, 2015 9:01 pm
Initial modelling details can be found in blog/Spack/predator_bio_mask_14_scale_modelling_b-176.html

I finally got around to working on the 3D model again, and have reached a point where I'm happy with the details and have prepared the model for printing. As well as finishing the interior venting details, the hose connector on the left temple was replaced with something closer to that used on the NECA Big Red figure (the Big Red bio is almost identical to the original P1 helmet, the only differences being the two half spheres on the forehead and the colour), and a small hose connector detail was added to the left cheek (this detail is missing from the NECA bios).

BA Blog 12/03/13 Army Pic so far.

by Cain Tiberius on Tue Mar 12, 2013 9:33 pm
Hi folks. Been moving my models round the house a bit today. One, to protect them from the kids as they grow. And two, to make room for more important things where I had them. But I did take the opitunity to take some pics of the force in its entirety as it currently stands. It is still growing though, so don't be fooled into thinking I've stopped ;)

Panzerzug "Geschutzwagen" WIP

by Spack on Fri Jun 15, 2012 10:44 pm
Another small update to the Panzerzug BP44 model train is the basic hull of the Geschutzwagen, which is armed with a 10.5cm turret.

This railcar is connected up to the tender, with the Kommandowagen between it and the Artillery/Flak railcar.

The next railcar in line will be the tank carrying well wagon which carries a Pz38t light tank and has a folding loading ramp, followed by a Panzerjaegerwagen which is a flat railcar with a Panzer IV turret. For the full BP44 duplicates of the railcars are added in the same order to the front of the train, plus two flat wagons which carry supplies and help protect the train should anything be in the way on the track. I'm still trying to decide where the Panzertriebwagen 51 will be placed,...
