I now have mine assembled. And I am happy to say, I have managed to do what I could not as a Teenager. With the use of some Brass Rod and Miliput, the Pylons that support the Nacelles are more than strong enough to actually support the Nacelles. And I didn't make a mess of it in the process. I have to say though that this kit has a lot more gaps and ill fitting parts than I remember. But that may be down to me just being picky due to being spoiled by the Table Top gaming industry.

Anywho, last night I filled in any major gaps I could find. There are still a few minor ones, but I am not going to stress over it. I sprayed it its base white this morning. I'd been worried about getting a shade of white I would be happy with. GW skull white spray would have been far to bright. But I found a Matt white spray primer at B&Q that fit the bill.

And here is the result. I'll be getting the rest painted up and the transfers applied over the weekend.

Looking very nice mate!

Can't even tell where any gaps might have been.

Looks great. I'd love to see a ds-9 model. Huge cardassian space station.

Looking great so far. It's got me tempted to pick up Attack Wing and do some repaints :)

Progress is picking up with Egrimm. I had a real dip with it on Thursday though. After laying the first few coats of color on the dragon it looked absolutely aweful :( Some sage advice from Lis, telling me to leave it and come back to it fresh yesterday was bang on the money (I bet we've all been there at some point?). Taking a bit of time away from it really helped, and maybe gave my painters sub concious a chance to work out what I actually needed to do.

A couple of hours later, with some help from orange, red, purple and blue inks I ended up with this, and have done a bit more on the base this morning while Lis had a lie in ;)

Not the best pic, as the mobile really struggles with the light in this room. Feeling a lot more positive about it now :)

And the grey knights that Im working on alongside are starting to come together too :)

Starting to think I've bitten off more than I can chew with this one! Base is probably about 80% there, egrimm himself is almost at 90% but I aint anywhere near with the dragon yet. Only just got all of the scales base coated, and need a few more layers on there. Then it's on to the bones and heads :/

Fingers crossing for this one!
