Nice one Spack!
If I tried priming card stock, it would end up looking like a pile of gray goo!

Lots of thin coats. Also helps using Halfords car body primer, as it seems to include chemicals that cause it to harden a little so it helps make the card a little more rigid.

Got the tank mostly done this morning - black/green base coat, Space Wolf grey painted over to try and represent a whitewashed tank for use in snow. I'm beginning to think adding strips to the grills, front plate, and visible track areas, as well as little wheel details such as hubs, would have been a good idea before painting.

I've attached a pic of where I've got to so far. It may well change by the end of today.

EDIT: after reviewing some pics of real Tigers I realised that the insignia should be on the hull, not the turret. The crosses have been moved, and a tank number 113 added to the turret sides. Although I think I should have just left it the way it was ... might be changed again later ...

Nice job Spack!
I'm very impressed because card stock models are a facet of our hobby that still eludes me.
I have never really gotten the hang of assembling and painting them.

Assembly wasn't too bad, the kit is well designed and comes with full instructions. Rolling the barrels have been the hardest part of the ones I've built so far. As to painting, I just do what I do with my 40k tanks - base coat, drybrush, random black and flesh wash for oil/dirt and rust marks, and hope :P

EDIT: I think I'm done. I've still got a few days to post up the final entry, need daylight to get a good clear pic though. Here's a rough one I just took ... it's all quiet on the eastern front ...

Looks nice!
Where did the figures come from?
Are they scratch built as well?
And I like the base. Very nice!

The figures are some cheap Chinese ones that I got on eBay a while ago for my son's train set (roughly OO scale, got about 100 figures in total, he shouldn't miss 5 going missing ;)) They've all had a coat of paint (Chaos Black, Codex Grey drybrush, Chaos Black/Bad Moon Yellow/Vermin Brown for hair, Elf Flesh + Flesh Wash for skin) , would have looked odd with them in orange and lime green uniforms! They were pretty much the only 5 poses I could use too, the others being old people bent over with walking sticks, couples walking arm in arm, or children. The base is just a spare piece of styrene foam I had kicking around, the worn out mud road being the result of a couple of quick sprays of the primer which melted it a bit, then a coating of PVA before adding Space Wolf grey, Chaos Black, Skull White, Bestial Brown, and Graveyard Earth. It gives the tank something to sit on while on the shelf so it doesn't get lost with the clutter :)

You make it sound like you just cobbled it together last minute!

But the results speak for themselves, very nice effort!
