Contest Line Up 2014

I would consider a dreadball team to be "infantry" and a team would indeed be a "unit" so I don't see any problem there.

For next months 'building' completion I'm considering an epic airfield. Would this fit within the boundaries or should I hold it back till 'fortification' month? My other option would be an 8" square city block section for my modular board. For 'fortification' I've been toying with the idea of a fortress monastery.

Decisions decisions.

id say the airfield would be better for aprils freestyle, simply because (this is a personal view here) an airfield looks more like a scenic piece or objective (feel free to correct me on this!), though i suppose it would depend on how it was built

if you have a sketch of what you have planned, post it up and i'll confer with TW on it

the city block would be fine for March, a building is a building :)

as for the monastery, sounds like a fortification to me! is it any particular kit you're doing? or a scratchbuild

I agree that the city block would probably be better for the building competition.

Cool

Will most likely go with the city block for building then.....

@Talus - They'll all be mostly scratch builds, although I'm probably going to make some masters and cast the resin fascias for the buildings. I've already got a dozen or so city blocks built and dont fancy detailing them all by hand.....

I do love the Forgeworld Epic Cathedral

But the last one I saw on ebay went for almost £300!!

The other kit option I quite like is the Kibri Gothic Cathedral but I wasnt able to source one last time I blew my hobby budget....

Whilst Im on the hunt, I figured I might as well go with the scratch build :)

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!

Talus and myself were reviewing the contest line up for the rest of the year. We specifically were looking at the competitonn for street barricades. We thought that we were having too many scenery contests, so we eliminated the barricades event (though they could still be entered into the fortifications event) and changed a few things around.

Have a look at what we changed up here and let us know your thoughts on the changes.

If there's something you'd like to see added or removed or changed, this is the place to speak your mind!

Thanks for looking!
