Waiting for the small blobs of green stuff (enabling the scarabs to sit snugly on the base) to dry. On the other hand, I did find two more 40mm bases, so I'll have all 7 to do.

So far I've glued together everything except the base, and then primered. And sanded, and primered. Just added Humbrol Modelling putty to the surfaces that are still not quite smooth, waiting for it to dry to sand again. Then I'm planning to spray on filler primer, then sand, and if it's finally smooth enough then primer. Or filler primer and sand ... You get the idea. Might be able to get the base coats of paint on next weekend

stands have their base colours on, just need details, highlights and the heavy ass metal bases done

engine has its base colour, just needs metallics and details

10 passenger cars have their white strips down the side done, just need masking, blacking, detailing and metallics done!

and then the fun part begins where i skip transfers and throw on a load of hand painted graffiti that will likely break my wrist! \ o /

also a reminder

Entry closes 23rd March

Final entry deadline 28th March in this gallery: gallery/v/AoSCommunity/March+16/

Finished. Quick paint scheme to match the rest of the army, and because they are expendable and don't stay on the table for long.

nice touch with the gold on the faces

you also get bonus points for them being classics :)

since you finished so early, you're more than welcome to add something else to your entry! though they would both need to be entered together, not as seperate pieces

They are "Egg ohs!"tm and are mostly used for pens and pencils for people with bad grip, but I'm sure you could get a large handled brush in it as well. I'm not sure if this exact brand and shape is available in the UK but I'm sure you could get someone friendly to ship from America for you...

Also I quite like the classic Necrons scarabs a very nice paint job it's suits them well.

Cheers for the praise chaps. :)
@Talus, I won't be entering anything else with them as I have no other necron bits to paint, and I want to keep stuff back to enter in future competitions.

almost finished these now. A few detail bits to do. I've deliberately kept the scheme quite muted mostly using washes and dry brushing.
Also thought you might appreciate the U.S. Navy Warbird in the background. ;-)
