No, just what ever is to hand. The first few I did, I printed off at the local library, and I'm pretty sure they use the cheapest paper they can find, lol.

Talus and I have agreed that, for the painting competitions at least, as long as the model is in a uniform coler, be it black, white, gray, green, blue, whatever, that qualifies as a "primed only" model. We don't think it fair to penalize someone who wants to prime their model in a base coat color.

well I was unsure, as technically I prime with white, then spray the yellow base coat on top.

If you prime it white, then that is what we would expect you to enter. If you prime the model with yellow, then it's a primer, not a base coat.

Of course, we rely on everyone competing and playing fairly, which obviously we all do.

In that case I could have entered a whole bunch of UCM, lol. I use ArmyPainter desert yellow to prime them. I have 6 tanks, 3 APCs and 4 buggies sat on my painting desk =P
But it's cool, I'm happy with the Hades.

Finally made a decision! Im going for the wraithknight. I'm excited to paint it so that will give me the impetus to keep going despite my horrible work schedule this month:

Will let u know. It's the joins more than anything I'm worried about. Some places where a smooth plate is in 2 pieces with the joining seam right on the most obvious curve to the eye. Ah well we'll see. I'm going to prime wait with egg custard and piccalilli as there no worries about primer now. That should fill the gaps.

I admire a man who is not deterred by the prospects of a difficult challenge!

You're entry is accepted and added to page 1, good luck Herne!

Why is it that when people post pictures of models etc, but don't crop out the house contents behind that I'm always drawn to whatever they have in the background? I love it when bookshelves appear behind stuff. Am I just nosey? haha
Anyway. nice jeans and trainers Herne. And model or something. heh heh

I think for the next competition I should leave a glimpse of my own book shelves in the background to be fair.
