Summertime 2014 Competition

I've actually made some progress, glueing sand to the bases and undercoating them all. More progress in the last two days than the last 5 weeks i think.

Kromlech Juggernauts almost done!

Everything else is further behind, though I'm enjoying apinting both orks and white armour. Trying out some new techniques...

They are some nice models. Kromlech do do some nice sculpts.

I should have pictures up of my finished entry some point this weekend. I've got to do the gold, lenses and bases. I should finish most of it up tonight. Then I've got a few weeks left to do my painting challenge entries, I've got the Riptide built at least!

Thank you Angelwing. I'm also on track to getting my painting challenge finished up with maybe a model or two extra.... I've been all of the productive this month.

I might have to knock my entry on the head. I finally got the willpower to start the drybrushing only to discover I've only got a tiny amount of the required paint left. I thought I had a couple of spare pots but they are not in paint box. Due to my sleep patterns at the moment, I won't be able to get to the FLGS for more until late september. I may be able to get a spare pot from a friend, but I don't know when that may happen.

Order a pot of ebay to your door and cut out the need to leave the house.

Or mix up the required color from a couple of other left over paint pots!

I don't want to do a mix job as I want to keep the colour consistent. I might be able to get a lackey to drop into the flgs for me though.

That's what lackeys are good for!

Woah, is it that time already? Not been about for a week or two as we've had a lot of baby stuff to sort now that Lis is on her Maternity leave, and making sure everything of hers was ready for handover at work (being in the same team has helped, and managed to build me up some flexitime just in case I need it). Was hoping to post this WIP over the weekend, but lost Internet on Thursday afternoon and it's only just come back up.

Rather than post a pic, I've done a rough 360 vid of where things are at (it's helped me take a step back and look at what still needs done as a whole).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_ZNcky ... 70d0yapkQA

Hopefully I should get things finished either today or tomorrow, which leaves Wednesday for the pics. Apologies for the quality of the video, tablet camera and computer room lighting don't really mix :/

There are some cracking entries already (and from what I've seen of Froggy's that's gonna be awesome too!)

That is looking all kinds of nice. The two models together really is an impressive sight. I'm quite liking your purple tone it's not as feminine as most I've seen.
