Dropzone Commander

As I pointed out in the space marine thread (because 40k= promote everything else instantly  )
I reckon over the last 2 weeks they've slashed their pricing but just not told anyone..
For about 3 days the (solid) buildings said they were on sale.. they now just are, and are sticking at the not £130 level.
I never looked at actually buying the models so couldn't say.. I know the paper town has always been somewhere around £30 a friend bought it for one of those gozilla vs army games.

If i really cared I'd figure out how to do a rollback internet to compare their site 2 months back to now.(but I don't  )
Barely even lurking..

i am hoping they will do all the basic starter sets in plastic to make things more affordable for us.
price wise the game is not cheap but you don't need tones of stuff and like you said you can get a nice cheep cardboard terrain set. :)

I think, given that every (non-Shaltari?) unit needs it's own ride at the start of the game, having a plastic drop-ship set would make a real difference to overall cost.

I've done a rough budget calculation and as long as you factor in the starter set and paper terrain this looks to be cheaper than any fow (excluding plastic soldier company cheapness) or 40k army I've ever bought. My problem is ill have to buy two, one for me and one for my son. The starter set really pushes the costs down though I've pre ordered the starter and am looking forward to playing. Were going to have our first go of Ronin by Osprey this weekend which is another skirmish game set in the time of the samurai.

Phr in plastic would be ace. Ye for a 150 you could have a good starter set up and a few extras. Name another game system that gives u that. GW certainly do not.

All the resin DzC models I have seen have been very very good.

The Starter doesn't ship till September but I'm tempted to buy a couple of extra units to check out the models. Problem is I don't know what to add to make the starter armies viable.

From the few that Iv just got In I'm quite impresed. One or 2 air bubbles or a little resin over spill on the odd bit. But not in a way that it would right the kit off. Not like failcast or forge world. From what Iv been told as well is that if u were not totaly happy with the minor cast discrepancys hear n there hawk them selfs will simply replace the parts. Faster than FW can. It's resin and it's very hard to get 100% perfect casts. But by jo there very good. Another note. All there models that thay have done in the books is with army painter spray paint and inks.

Just seen the starter set is selling for £48 on totalwargamer. Not bad if you are willing to take a chance.

Ive justed recieved some UCM units and terrain for this game. The Units I got are scouts so are really quite small but the detail is amazing, and they are really quite sturdy for the price, the Wolverine Scout cars have 2 types of turret that can be swapped over, for this scale I think these are fantastic. They paint up nice as well.
The terrain pack is very good, you can get a very good 6X4 table out of it.
My starter set doesn't ship till end of Septemer and im really looking forward to playing. Ill try and put a Battlerep together for my first game.
