For those going to WHW I'll need payment on the day, unless you want pay beforehand. For anyone not going to WHW I won't actually have the dice to weight to get an accurate cost for the postage, so it'll be during that week that I'll get everything sorted out (I've got the week off work :))

News update: Ben won't be here this weekend. He did manage to get the dice sent, and they've left Miami and should be in London tomorrow, so there's still a chance I'll have them before Friday. I'll be hassling RM as soon as I know they're near the sorting office to see if I can go and collect them.

Ben might be able to make it to the UK nearer Christmas, in which case I for one will do my best to go see him wherever he is staying. Maybe if his wife is ok with it he'll even manage to get a game or two in ;)

Poor Ben

Postby Herne » Mon Aug 04, 2008 7:41 pm

A shame about Ben - I'm sure all our thanks go to him for the efforts he was going to put in with the dice and the trouble he's now had to go to - cheers Ben. Murphy and his laws have a tendancy to run amok amongst the best laid plans of mice and men!

Thanks everyone. My wife is distraught. We are getting back most of the money but she has never been outside of the States except for a few trips to Canada. She was really looking forward to this. We are definitely making the trip later.

Planning will begin once we have passport in hand and she is cleared. Not a minute sooner. ;)

Thats a big downer man..Hope you'll visit our dank and sweaty\draughty\frozen\drowning isle before to long.
So is this the first big batch of ones that the dice have rolled? Are they cursed and doomed.. or has he just used up all their averages to improve our gaming performance- if so I for one would like to thank Ben for taking one for the team every time i don't roll a 1 I shall think of his noble sacrifice to the dice gods as my men storm across the battlefield- yay though they run across the shadow of eldar they shall fear no starcannon.
If they are just uppety dice who are badd uns who carry on their rebelous ways I already have a dice pyre (from the last dice that misbehaved) I believe the american phrase is "I'll get em for you buddy  "

Ahhh, Ben. Sorry mate. :(

It will be very intriguing to find out just how evil and dangerous your misses really is, or if the powers that (sadly) be have been watching too much Sherlock Holmes (the red-headed league).

Good news. :D

I think your last tourist board ad campaign was better, kmb (if less accurrate).

But if it helps and you need to get a taste of dear old blighty, you could go to the super market/store on a boiling summers day and spend some time near a refridgerator as the unwashed masses pass slowly by.

Good luck, hope to see you here soon. :)

I have to say a big thank you to Ben, I have been informed by my wife that a large parcel from the US has just been delivered at home. I'll be popping home a lunch time and picking it up so I can post pics :)

And the other good news is that the delivery of 36mm dice arrived this morning too :) Pics of those will be posted a few hours too.
