Wouldn't look bad if it was the same font you used in the site's logo.
Either way, I still want some!
If nothing else, it's a way to say thank you to Spack for running this site.
Looking forward to seeing the final design.

You know what... I agree with this... Thank you, Spack for running this site and giving us a haven to talk tactics and get ideas. I love AoS... and there are good people here.

I want some dice, no matter what the outcome is, so keep us updated, as you always do. Thanks again!

Shock, horror, and some surprise! On the off chance Chessex might have some ideas about how to adjust the logo to fit a 16mm dice I sent off my test image to them, and not only did they tell me it would work they even made one for me and took photos! :D

Here's the result, any comments? What I might do is get the larger 36mm dice from Dice.co.uk as Chessex don't do that size, and order the 16mm dice from Chessex. I'm waiting on a reply as to how long it will take to have them made, and I'll let you know as soon I know what's going on.

Not bad. I think that the letters could be a little thicker and the background is a little too rectangular.

Me too. Those look great. Chessex is US based right?

Just need to know what the price will be each so I can figure out how many to get. :)

Hey Spack, if chessex is US based, can they ship right to those of us stateside, instead of having the entire order shipped to you in the UK and then shipping them back here?
Just a thought.

It might be more cost effective to have a few people receive shipments, and then distribute them from there, instead of having Chessex divide the order amongst different people.

Cool :)

I'd still like my AoS dice in the original suggested colours (colors) though. My own club dice are already in the red/black!

Given the £10 + p&p per set of 25 that was suggested earlier I'd still have no trouble managing to get them produced for that price. The cost is a little more from Chessex due to shipping and import duty, but it's still low enough that £10 will cover the cost. P&P will be purely what it costs me at the Post Office for and will depend on quantity of dice - I'll try to get some ideas of prices sorted out this evening.

I've literally just had a reply about turn around - they reckon they can have them made and out the door in 10 working days from order, so if I allow a week to organise taking orders and a week for delivery that means I should have them in my hands 4 weeks from now, all being well. I guess it's time to start taking orders :)

Tim had already posted the colour options, but here they are again in case anyone missed them. These are all the options for the 6 face with the design, and are "dice colour"/"spot colour":

Opaque:
Ivory/black
White/black
Red/white
Blue/white
Black/white
Black/red
Black/gold

Speckled:
Arctic Camo/black
Cobalt/gold
Cobalt/white
Fire/black
Lotus/black
Lotus/green
Ninja/silver
Ninja/white
Recon/gold
Recon/white
Volcano/silver
Volcano/white
Water/white

Signature and Gemini:
Borealis Aquerple
Borealis Purple/white
Borealis Sky Blue/white
Cirrus Aqua/silver
Festive Green/silver
Gemini Black-White/red
Gemini Black-Copper/white
Gemini Blue-Gold/white
Gemini Blue-Purple/Gold
Gemini Blue-Red/Gold
Gemini Blue-Steel/white
Gemini Copper-Steel/white
Gemini Green-Gold/white
Gemini Green-Red/White
Gemini Pink-Black/white
Gemini Purple-Red/gold
Leaf Black Gold/silver
Leaf Steel/gold
Lustrous Gold/silver
Lustrous Green/white
Lustrous Purple/gold
Lustrous Shadow/gold
Marble Ivory/black
Mother of Pearl Blue/silver
Mother of Pearl White/black
Nebula Black/white
Phantom Black/silver
Phantom Teal/gold
Scarab Blue Blood/gold
Scarab Jade/gold
Scarab Royal Blue/gold
Scarab Scarlet/gold
Velvet Black/red
Velvet Bright Blue/silver
Velvet Pink/white
Vortex Black/yellow
Vortex Blue/gold
Vortex Burgundy/gold
Vortex Green/gold
Vortex Orange/black
Vortex Purple/gold

You can see these colours on the Chessex site at http://www.chessex.com/Dice/Dice_Home.htm (some of the colours seem not to have links, but if you put the mouse over the TM symbol you can find the link).

I'll need to sit down and craft a post about ordering details later this evening, and I'll see about including pics of all the colour options.

looks great! i echo the comments above about making the letters a little thicker and making the area around the words slightly less rectangular.

as to the colour... we are spoilt for choice really. they have loads of great colours - maybe send them the link to the site and ask them to suggest some colour combinations from their range that might suit us?

sounds good to me. all im worried about w/chessex is whether they will be ready in time. could they deliver to Ben, if that would speed up the process?

cheers :)

You may wish to assume two weeks for shipping. First class post took two weeks to reach Tim or estarriol. Only airmail would be faster, and it may add significantly to cost.

Please ignore this comment if Chessex has provided information to the contrary.

Looking at the dice options, I have to say that my favorite standard combination is Scarab - Royal Blue w/ Gold. My second choice would be Gemini - Black-Blue/gold. My third choice would probably be Speckled - Stealth; though, the pip colour isn't even close to rust orange. :(
