15pts would be better. What do you need to get to 15? Maelstrom have a demo table with 2 battleboxes you could use?

Yeah, 15 is about the minimum to atually have a game rather than a demo. 15 is like 1000 points of 40k, enough to give a flavour, but without a great deal of tactical depth. 35 is like 1500 of 40k and 50 is similar to 2000 points.

I'm happy to play at any point level if anyone wants a game.

I've just realised that it mother's day though... I may not stay the whole day or I may find myself permanantly unable to have any more kids (a blessing in disguise maybe...)

A UK supplier to have anything in stock! No seriously I have a master and a mage hunter force currently, am going to add a jack and a couple of solos in the next couple of days as that's what maelstrom have in stock that I want as part of my collection. Tbh I ain't even interested in the jacks but the game sort of requires you to have one with the masters jack points.

The only other thing I could do is put the money I have for the jack and solos into my bet365 account and hope it comes out as a jack some solos and dawnguard, but this runs the risk of me then only playing a 5pt game ;-)

Always wanted to collect a blood bowl team, in my opinion, the best game GW ever made, so I am keeping my fingers crossed for the wildly rumoured re-realise.

I agree! Oh well-keeps it simple at least.

I'm happy to bring a copy of the game and the following teams, if there's enough interest...

undead
humans

its a very easy game to kit bash together if you want, all you need is 9-13 models from a race that you can model to represent a certain list (lists rules and summaries available legitimately from the web)...the table is just a grid.I find the dice actually easier if you use D6 instead of the icons..only tricky bit is making 3 vaguely see through templates.
Oh and fouling is all good.
So you lot are really saying that you track your fame factors for pick up games and you use the random 52 deck of cards minor powers?? Really? (weather where basically you find out if your game will allow anyone to throw a pass or not..meh)

I mean in a league (which we're not having)you would of course add another 15 pages of the rules..but really the game already can get bogged down in "pants I'm playing LH, time to spend 90 minutes trying to break his cage(tm)"

I can bring a skaven list, a very ugly (modelwise its skanky) undead list, and a WIP dark elf list..
LH has been working on making a team forever.. but it appears he's pulling his usual 2 weeks before wobble of defecting to a different group on the saturday and being house whip-ed on the sunday..
As my ride means I might not actually make the sunday.

TBH I haven't played the board version for years, the best part of the game is watching your players develop as you build a team, all with there own skills and injuries, building some character into the game, its great when you hand the ball off to your star player who you have built up from a simple blitzer, and then watch him jinx and blitz his way to score his 20th TD of the season. Obviously you can't get this from a pick up game, and I agree with your reasons for limited rules for the games, so that's why I get my Blood Bowl kick for the the PC version these days. For me BB is not a pick up and play game, its an investment in a team, taking them from nameless nothings to the league winners is where the game lives and breathes.

Perhaps its best we left it at home then..
Hey Bane, if I make it on the sunday.. do you want to start the day with a quick (90min tops)1850 40k game..You can play either of the tourney lists I'm still umming and arring over.
What do you reckon? and Any preference?

Dont leave it on my account, nothing stopping others enjoying it.

I am more that willing to give you a game and dont feel the need to limit it to a quick game unless you need to? I have no prefrence on your list bring which ever you prefer.
