Ah food. Ok so along with numbers we need food orders too. Price seems reasonable. I take it that's just one meal, for lunch?

I think someone (Nige!?) needs to kick start this for real. I for one have booked the time off (and Alex was asking today if it was happening) but beyond some vague ideas I'm not really sure what is going on.

Do we know what accomodation is available in the area? I'd like to book some early if this is going to happen. I'd also like to know what's going on so I can plan what to bring and if I need to paint anything.

I'm not organising this one, just participating :P

I think thats an important thing you lot need to sort out quick..
Mansfield, bless its heart. Isn't the most upmarket of awesomes, nor is it the largest.
You might ask maelstroms events team for a recommends list?
If you do find somewhere its not going to be competing with much (compared to citys etc) Watch out for smaller vendors who may be going under demanding large deposits..
There is a Travelodg£ Man5field Hotel -note most of the pictures online of it are actually just scenic pictures of chesterfield....
http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotels-g50 ... otels.html

Your right by (car) the m1 (j28) so you might decide on some moteling.

Heres a map with link between it and Notts so you can get a perspective on where it is
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?saddr=not ... mra=ls&z=9

(Have I done this before?)
I don't care where you lot stay :P

Hmmm as I am not moving the weekend before this time, and Mansfield itself is just a bus ride away I might just pop in and show my face etc.

Lets see, I don't play 40k these days, nor FOW, don't have a KoW army.....

I can bring a camera...

I have the scout camera tripod, and a good 2000 points of DSLR...

Thinking about it, I might be able to sort out a KOW army or two...

Other than that, my main game these days is 'Charlie Don't Surf' fro TooFatLardies with adaptions for 60's sci-fi gaming.

So 60's British (SLRs, GPMGs, Centurions, Saladins etc) and sci-fi, so they fight Daleks, Treen (on Venus) etc...

events/next-aos-event-2011-t5257-15.html?hilit=meetup%202011#p57773
Which was repeated on the previous page to this.

and I replied to Kings question (in march) here.
events/next-aos-event-2011-t5257-30.html?hilit=meetup%202011#p57783
And before that here is a page I first linked to in the first AOS thread for contact details which stunty may or may not have used.
http://www.warseer.com/forums/showpost. ... stcount=81

Its nige so everypost is a repost post..
:banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead

Calms down.. I guess if King meant "Stunty did you receive a booking/invoice accounts/ communications number I should use when talking to people"..he might have been paying attention.

Someone save this post .. :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead

Shall I start a thread to capture all the details in one place? I'll create the template, fill in what we DO know and then someone else can work out the blanks. Sound OK?

Done. Please review it and respond to the thread as requested. It's the new sticky in this Event Forum.

Nige you need to call Maelstrom and CONFIRM OUR BOOKING as we are not listed on the event calendar for that weekend.

Once you confirm it.. I'll book the rooms my guys need at the hotel.
