Objective Marker Competition #2 - Medicae Facility

Update: the votes are in, congratulations to Jimster!

Rules

- Entrants must be registered with the Age of Strife site, so if you're just browsing then please register to be eligible to enter.

- Two months to complete your entry - Fri 3rd Oct to Mon 1st Dec. Closing time for entries is 2359 GMT on the 1st Dec.

- The base size limit is any of the 3 sizes of 40k standard round bases - 25mm, 40mm, 60mm. They must be plain bases with no pre made stuff on them (so no Dreadnought bases, for instance).

- One entry per person. It must be painted.

- WIP Photos are up to the people themselves, helps keep the thread alive and makes others worry if they are behind (WIP in this thread only)

- Publish WIP photos in this link, final entry photo in this Competition #2 Album.

- ONLY ONE PHOTO PER ENTRY ALLOWED IN THE COMPETITION ALBUM! If you want to show more views of it, just create a collage with all the pics in a single uploaded image. If you don't know how to do this, feel free to PM Spack and if there's enough time help may be provided.

- Once the entry date has passed voting will run for 7 days. You will be able to vote for your top three favourites! Choose wisely as you will only get one chance to vote. No voting for your own entry!

To give an idea of what is expected, you can see the results of Competition #1 - Command Centre and the discussion here

Doh! I got all confused there. However, it does raise an issue - do we want this running at the same as the AoBR figure competition?

yes - thats why the AoBR comp is running for so long: to allow time to work on our objective markers as well.

im happy with the 2nd Objective Comp starting tomorrow, personally. :)

how is everyone getting on with their entries?

ive decided on the idea, and what i want it to look like, and i have gathered all the bits i think i will need. i think im going to use a 40mm base this time.

rather than making a Medicae Facility per se, im going to make a Servitor repair station for my upcoming AdMech army (which, within the context of the army, fills the same role).

next thing i need to do is start cleaning pieces and gluing the main body of the marker together, although i think i better start my Termi first...

do you all have ideas yet? :?:

cheers :)

I've started working out what I'm going to do, just the hard part is figuring out how to actually do it. It might involve body parts and blood, depends how far I decide to go with it ...

sounds cool.

which army will it be for?

ive started work on mine: just have to clean and attach a few more pieces (they are fiddly though so will take a while to get into all the nooks and crannies) and do some greenstuff to fill gaps, and it will be fully built. :D

ive even done the sand on the base already too (once dry it needs another coat of PVA to seal it on). :)

how is everyone else getting on? (especially those that didnt finish in time to enter the last comp)

I was looking at this for either my Chaos or my IG. Chaos has so many more possibilities ...
