AOS Meet Up, What are we doing & Apoc Battle

For event announcements to be shown in the recent news on the forum home page.

Postby LordMalekTheRedKnight » Wed Jul 16, 2008 7:40 pm

just to let you guys know, Kate and I will be sitting out the Apoc game. we will marvel at the spectacle of it from the sidelines, though.

we may even start our day with a game against eachother just to get settled in.

once people start getting knocked out of the Apoc game we can start picking up opponents (who will probably be keen for a change of pace/scale by then).

cheers :)

I'm ok with multiple lists thing. Makes sense.

So I'll bring:

400, 500, 1000, 1500 and 2000 point lists for smurfs.

and _maybe_ the same for Necrons...

My party of 4 have managed to put a Choas list together. We are bringing 3 lots of Daemons and a CSM force... all Apoc sized (2000pts x 4)

Are there 4 opponents who can put together an Imperial list maybe of equal size?

Bump.

So are we bothering with apoc or not? And if we did, it seems most people want to play 5th ed now anyway.

Are we reverting to a position of suck-it-and-see on the day.

Running an apoc game requires someone to plan it and run it for the duration I think. I suspect most people will want the freedom to mingle and play as many or a few pick-up games as they can (around any pre-arranged). Any impromptu apoc games can be smaller affairs and run by the small number of players who decide that's what they want to do.

Thoughts?
